Masterbuilt Digital Electric Smoker 140S - 40"

It's just great for smoking different meats and it free's you up to do more thing then to watch the food!

With being new to smoking this made it a breeze. I'm going to try several different meat now that I know how easy it can be.

Great smoker for a beginner. Works fantastic. Pretty much set it and forget it

Easy to use but I don't like the cleanup which is not too much this is my first smoker

They changed the supports for the cooking grates. Now they are molded in the inside walls instead of rails being riveted in place. The grates do not slide well. The fit and finish was bad too. The door was crooked. The plastic around the hinge pin was cracked. And just a general sloppy looking buld.

I wanted to love this smoker. I have the master built 30 and it's amazing so I upgraded to this "nicer" bigger model at the end of the season when they were on clearance in store. It has been nothing but problems. I've now had to replace the control unit once and the power circuit board 3 times now. If I could trade it back in I would. But the first time the power circuit board went out was 2 months after I'd purchased it so I couldn't return it. The only reason it is not 1 star is Masterbuilt support has been excellent, also when it's working it makes fantastic food.

Unit showed up a day later than promised and had a big dent in the top of it, but no damage to the shipping carton. I asked for a replacement and was told that they did not have any more. I looked at the original listing and it was still listed for sale with delivery within days. To make matters worse, I purchased the extended warranty and then had to separately file for that refund. I suspect that the seller is shipping factory seconds. Will never buy from a third party WalMart provider again.

It worked for about a year i only used it 15 to 20 times and the last time was few months ago and ive found on other sites people had same problem i did the last time it worke it got so hot i actually thought it was on fire had it setvon 230 it only sets to 275 and the thermometer will read up to 300 degrees it was maxed out stuck had to unplug it to get it to shut off now it will not heat at all customer service wasn't any help dont buy this smoker

Where to begin there is a gap in top rightside of door , it don't generate much smoke , hardly any . The remote is useless at more than 15ft. The vents and a place on the door are peeling away , the coating after only three uses . I will be starting a return life is much too short for this kind of disappointment . Pictures are after smoking a pork butt for 14hrs at 225 I'm done also .
