[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this thing, super easy, super clean, so clean I actually use it indoors in my living room vented through a window, I love being able to use it all year & the taste is amazing, can’t even tell it’s electric
Absolutely love this smoker. I smoked chicken, pork, and pork loin. The meat came out great.my husband assembled it and pre-seasoned it. I recommended the smoker to my brother.
I bought this smoker primarily to smoke fish in order to make smoked fish dip. But now using it for many other things such as pork ribs and chicken wings. I really like it.
We love our new smoker. It is easy to set up and we had no trouble putting together. I ordered the legs for ours and we are very happy with that decision. I think this smoker is the easiest one to use that I have owned.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been waiting to write this review until I had used my smoker enough to make sure I could leave an honest and accurate review. I've had the smoker for about 5 months now, and I've used it countless times cooking a variety of food. From pork butts and briskets to Chex mix and eggs, this vertical smoker can smoke them all. I bought this smoker because I was looking for a smoker that I didn't have to babysit all day. Other than adding more wood chips occasionally, it's pretty much set and forget. I do recommend putting a thermometer in it the first couple times you use it, as the temp on mine does seem to run a few degrees hotter than the display says. Now I know to compensate for the different, and it holds the temp well without big fluctuations.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my 2nd one in 10 years. 1st one sat on the ground. New one has legs which is great for knees and back. Keeps temp very consistent. Four racks for multiple level cooking. Have smoked turkey, wings, ribs, many butt's, prime rib, and ham. No dissapointments.
I bought the 40" electric smoker specifically to smoke kielbasa amd other sausage. After about 6 weeks, and 40 pounds of sausage, I'm more than satisfied with the results obtained for what I consider to be a bargain price unit! I use a ThermoWoeks Smoke to monitor internal air temperature amd it is rarely more than a few degrees off the digital readout. My only minor disappointment is not getting smoke below a smoker set point of 185F.
Decent for price point. Doesnt hold consisten temp in my experiences so far. Ive been smoking for 20 years, this isnt the best or worst ive used. It will make due now that i know i need to have it on 275 degrees the whole time. Also slows down smoking when youve put a couple trays worth of wood in so plan to dump the ash at least once on an 8 hour smoke but thats explainable.
Smoker arrived with small dent in back panel casing. Electronics and heating element control ceased working with 300 degree readout for internal cabinet temperature prior to any use other than seasoning per the manual.
I’ve had this product for less than a year, and I’ve had nothing but trouble with it. From the moment I got it, the door has not sealed well. Since then, I have also noticed that the paint used on it does not handle the heat, bubbling and flaking off around the door seal. Now the thermometer always reads over 285 even after turning the smoker on while cold. I have followed all troubleshooting recommendations to reset or clear that temperature and nothing will get the temperature to read less. The smoker does not even heat up higher than 275, so with the temperature at 285 it will not even turn on the heating element. When it works, it does do a good job of cooking, but I have spent far more time trying to get it working properly than actually using it to cook.
