Masterbuilt MES 440S Intelligent Bluetooth Digital Electric BBQ Smoker, 40 Inch

The 440s is my 2nd electric smoker from Masterbuilt my 30 inch inch is 4 years old and still going strong. I wanted to upgrade to a larger one but was hesitant to do so because of reviews. Don't wait get you one this is a great smoker and a lot of Fun. I never give 5 stars but this machine deserves them. Enjoy FB

I really enjoy this smoker. It replaces a smaller one that I have been using for three years. Masterbuilt has a couple of issues that if they could solve would make their products better. First their thermostat is inaccurate. It was inaccurate on my first smoker and it is inaccurate on this one. Second their blue tooth controlled is garbage. They should switch to WiFi I am still satisfied and glad I bought it.

I bought this and the unit is beautiful. I have not used it yet, opened it up to put together and there is a dent in the front. It wasn't big enough to return as it would be a hassle.

I have to say, I've been disappointed with this product. It seems well made but TBH I got an error message about half the time halfway through a smoke. “Err2” if the wood chunks in the smoke box ignite (and yes you are supposed to use chunks not pellets for this model). The main point of this smoker is to smoke, but if every time you try and smoke you get an error it's not much good. I really wanted to like this product but ultimately I don't feel l could trust it with an expensive brisket or similar.

I SMOKED WITH THIS 4 TIMES. THEN IT STARTS SAYING ERROR 2. I LOOK IN THR BACK PANEL AND THE WHOLE THING IS JUST FREE WIRES. THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL ELEMENT WAS NEVER PUT TOGETHER. I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SEVICE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT ME. NEVE HEARD ANYTHING AGAIN. DO NOT BUY. IM OUT $$$

Seasoned smoker according to directions, worked fine. After an hour and a half of smoking my meat it gave an error 2 code and won't do anything. Cannot get it to reset all. Ruined my meat

I waited with great expectation my birthday gift. A smoker. In fact, the first one that I will have ever owned. The day arrived with bitter sweet results. The box looked as if someone needed to work out some aggression and used my present. I tried to contact Master Built seeking guidance on what to do? The phone option didn't exist due to COVID-19. I truly understand that so I opened the box to get the numbers I needed to file a report online and indeed found a less than pristine exterior. I took photos and filed a report through the online portal. It took ten business days to get a response to my inquiry (site states 3 days). Heather's response to me, “. I am sorry to hear that the unit was delivered with cosmetic damage. I have reviewed the cosmetic blemishes and this will not affect the functionality of the unit. As a valued customer, I have processed an order to include an accessory kit for the inconvenience. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. “. I purchased an undented cosmetically perfect item and received a dented item with no ability to discuss what option I might pursue with the company? A valued customer? I do not feel valued. The company seems better equip to send out review emails and follow up information than addressing my issue. When I have actually utilized the unit, I will be sure to review the results. Until then I find myself dissatisfied in this purchase.

Started off great, got an ERR2 message half way the first time I smoked some meat. I submitted a request to get this fixed and haven't heard anything, 3 weeks and counting. This smoker could be great if it operated correctly.

We had used this twice and on the second time it presented with an Er r 2 code during the cooking process. (see other reviews). This is not addressed in the manual. There is no resetting it. Upon looking into it this a defect that Master built has not addressed. They provide a number to call and it is only automated and does not address concerns. I have a brand new smoker that does not work at all.

I like my smoker but 2 of the rack holders have broken welds already. I have had for about a month. One was broken loose when I received the unit and the other must of broke loose the first time I used it. I have tried to call customer service but can never get ahold of anyone. Help please!!!
