MasterPieces Literary Classics Memory Matching Game for Adult

I bought this for my husband for his 58th birthday. After doing research after my father got diagnosed with Alzheimer's, we decided we need to feed our brains more good stuff rather than just sitting and playing on our phones. Everything I read suggested playing brain games to keep your mind sharp. So a few months ago I found and pulled out our Boggle game and for his birthday I decided to buy him a memory game. I bought 2 figuring I would return one. Both are the MasterPieces brand but one was a "jr." kids edition and then this one for adults. We decided to keep both because they are both so much fun! The illustrations are quite nice. The cards are nice and thick and sturdy and they are quite large- so be sure your table is cleared off! We set it up on the table before dinner and then sometimes start playing during dinner or wait and play after dinner. We've established a nice routine. It is a quick(ish) game, making it even more appealing. So instead of sitting there at the table ignoring each other while playing on our phones, we are connecting playing our brain games interchanging between these memory games and Boggle. I'm hoping to find another fun game to throw in the mix.

As a kid I LOVED memory games, so when I found out my girlfriend also grew up as memory game master of the house we started looking for a good one to play together. This one is so much fun. It comes with so many cards, and it's great that we can downsize depending on how intense we want our memory games. The art on the cards is awesome and if you have really good eyesight you can even read the fun descriptions for each creature.
