It's hard to find this item anywhere else and it's what I use because it's compostable. Only Walmart has it.
These are the nicest sandwich bags I've ever had, and I will continue to use them and buy them in the future
These are SO great!! I love that they are made from plants, so they don't have that plastic smell that most sandwich bags have! They have a space on the front to write exactly what is in the bag since they aren't clear. They seal up perfectly! I highly recommend them!!
I am so happy to know more and more companies are coming out with eco-friendly products, such as the company NatureStar North America, LLC. With so much in the news about weather and temperature extremes caused by global warming, I want to see people and companies do more in preserving our environment and planet Earth. So, I got the Matter compostable sandwich bags made by said NatureStar, which comes in a box of 50. They are opaque because they are constructed from natural plant materials. They are also gluten free, BPA free, and nut free for those with allergies and sensitivities. The bag has an area for easy labeling, and the word “COMPOSTABLE” is clearly printed on both sides of bag. This helps remind me and the family to toss it into the organic bin. I live in a city that collects organic waste, so it is simple for me to just toss these bags into the organic waste bin and know I did not contribute more to the landfill. These bags are flexible and have a bit of stretchy give to them which held the stiff beef jerky with pointy parts with no issues. To my understanding, compostable products have a shorter shelf life for their best results. Because the material biodegrades, with time, the product's feel and performance can change.
I have to admit I was not sure what to expect with these. But I was impressed because they are awesome. The texture is definitely different. It's a lot softer than normal baggies but functional. I like the idea that this is better for the environment. It makes me feel like i'm doing some good in the world. I have froze things in them and they're fine like I said. The texture is different, it's soft, almost cloth like. But very functional and very durable. I highly recommend.
I recently tried out these sandwich bags, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with them. One thing I appreciate is the soft material used for the bags, which has a compostable feel to it and doesn't give off a strong plastic scent. They are the standard size for sandwich bags, accommodating my lunch sandwiches perfectly. I've also used them for snacks like nuts when I went hiking, and they held up well without any tears or damage. The only slight downside is that the seal doesn't give a tight closure, and it feels like it hasn't fully closed. However, I haven't experienced any leaks or spills so far, so it seems to be functioning adequately despite the concern. Overall, these sandwich bags have been reliable for my everyday needs.
Easy to open and close, Great for food items, or just to keep something separated.
I recently purchased the Matter 100% Compostable Sandwich Bags and I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. The fact that these bags are 100% compostable is a huge plus for me, as I'm conscious about reducing plastic waste. The bags are sturdy and hold up well, even with heavier sandwiches. They seal securely, keeping my food fresh. The only reason I'm deducting a star is that I occasionally experienced difficulty opening the bags, as they can stick together. Overall, these compostable sandwich bags are a great eco-friendly alternative, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to reduce their environmental impact
Big fan of these compostable sand which bags however, The box says that commercial composting companies may not be in your area. I'm not sure what exactly that means. Do I need to take these to a special facility? If so how do I find said facility? I tried looking on the internet and nothing came up so maybe there isn't any in my area? There needs to be more information listed on the box. The bags aren't clear but that doesn't bother me. They have a strong hold, better than some of the other brands and I do like that they are made from natural products. I'm a firm believer that there is too much plastic in this world so I hope this brand catches on.
The material to much like plastic, too soft
