I purchased this and have not had any problems. I tested it with a manual thermometer and it was spot on. I have cooked several things using this thermometer and have been happy with the results. The last cook was 14 1/2 hours and it did what it was supposed to do. I would recommend it.

I loved it until it stopped synching
I bought this less than 18 months ago. It was awesome until last weekend, when they would not sync. I've used it about 8 or 10 times. The base unit works, but it does not communicate with the receiver any more. I tried manually synching both units as well as new batteries. I was told to exchange it if under warranty, but it is not. I selected "No. I would not recommend to a friend", but in reality, I probably just got a bad one. I am still irritated right now though.

Do Not Buy This Thermometer
Probes do not read consistently. Vary by 20-40 degrees when inserted in the same thing. Company replaced them and same thing- inconsistent temperature readings. Customer service very surly and unwilling to cooperate. Will never do any business with them again.
