My original opinion; It looks like it doesn’t extend far enough and the tripod legs don’t look sturdy. In my usage so far both my assumptions were incorrect. It extends long enough and the tripod legs keep it upright. Even when sitting on my backpack on a moving bus.

It works well for what it is designed for. Love using it for my GoPro Max. I am actually ordering another one now. Of course if you are rough with it then it will stop working right. Don’t over twist tighten it. I love it and it is the perfect length. I strap it on backpacks and sometimes a little rough riding causes the extension to fall but I just reset it.

This grip works fine, however, it’s too short. I use this for skiing. The problem with this is it’s too short. If I wanna get a POV of someone recording me in front of me, I would need to extend my arms way out to be able to capture everything, and doing that make my skiing poster awkward for skiing and for video. The grip(tripod section) is also too bulky to hold it with the skiing poles. If I keep my arms in neutral position, then my body would appear to be warped in the footage because the camera is too close to me. So the problem is the length really. I’m returning this to switch to third party alternatives that offers longer lengths (1-2 meters).

Honestly I’ve hardly used mine at all. 10 months latter, now finally on vacation and want to use? Well just forget it. You pull it out, twist to lock…. moments latter it drops down. Next time it won’t lock at all! Chips were down and I could even extend it! Now it’s broken. Yeah after that sort of money not impressed. I’m using my trusty Manfrotto tripod now. Never failed me.

THE BOX I GOT IN THE MAIL WAS ALL RIPPED DENTED AND THE TAPE WAS OPEN FROM THE SELLER!! CLEARLY NOT NEW AT ALL!! TWO THUMBS DOWN FOR THE SELLER WHO LISTED IT AS NEW. AND FULL PRICE AT THAT.

This item hasn’t gotten a review since 2024 Because it never comes back on stock. Feels like a way to tie you in to the subscription.

I was pumped to use my GP Max with this selfie unit. I literally touched the snow and my GoPro broke off the end. Aluminum end would be better. Especially because of the price. The quick app has a lot of user issues as well. After my 4th GoPro I’m not happy with this product anymore. I might have to move on to a different video/camera.
