Max & Lily Modern Farmhouse Low Loft Bed with Storage Drawer, Solid Wood Bed for Kids

The quality of the wood is exceptional. The holes that were to be aligned with each screw were not aligned. I had to bring out my drill and manipulate the holes for the screws to line up. After that minor setback, the bed was complete and enjoyed by my boys.

This bed was fairly difficult to set up with two people. I do not recommend one person try to put it together. Once it was together, it is very sturdy, and my son loves the secret hideout on the bottom. I love the shelving for extra storage space and that the top bunk is not super high up. Overall this is a great bed frame and I highly recommend it!

My kid adores his new bed. Pieces are nice and heavy and numerous. So make sure to dedicate a few hours to it. Lol. But it's well worth it in the end. Very pleased with this purchase.

Easy to order. Looks nice, kids love their beds. When I thought I had an issue with delivery, the person I talked with was so helpful and nice(many thanks to her).

Good quality. Not hard to put together. Kids love it. Shipped quick. Had an issue with a broken piece and customer service was great and very quick to resolve.

Nice and sturdy bed, my 4 year old son loves it. However, we experienced some flaws and cannot give it 5 stars. Firstly, this is NOT an easy installation as advertised. It took me 6 hours to build it (without making any mistakes), it required another person to maneuver pieces safely once partially assembled, I had to crawl inside the play area to screw things on the underside of the bed frame (very uncomfortable), there were machining issues where the holes did not align properly with the plates making screwing very difficult at times. Looks wise it is very nice, but there at least 12 very visible screws on the ladder side which is an exposed side which I thought took away from the otherwise clean look. On another note, this bed will not fit through a door frame, which means painful disassembly and reassembly if moving to a new place.

the drawer and shelf in the bottom area are aesthetically pleasing but not functional - they impede on play space underneath and the drawer is not on solid tracks. Also there is a window under the head of the bed but that placement is not great if you want a bed in the corner, as seen in this picture above. It's a window to nothing. Just not the most thoughtful design.

I'll be honest, I'm a little disappointed. There varnish is chipped in numerous places and essentially looks like I built the bed from scrap wood pieces I've picked up from somewhere. The varnish finish could be done a little better and also the sanding finish could be done better as I'm fearful that it might start splinting soon. If this is how it looks now, how on earth will it look a year or two from now???

Structurally I feel good about both max and lily beds I purchased. However, the finish on both are very low quality. The whitewash is spotty with different levels of coverage across boards. The barnyard brown is similarly spotty in coverage and also has white streaks that looks like a dirty brush was used.

Cheap bed with way too many parts to build along with so many parts arriving damaged. Says it would hold 400lbs, but doesn't feel like it would hold much more than 150lbs. The storage underneath is fine, but my son wanted more of a “fort” and it's not very suitable for that.
