Max & Marlow Scratch Post, Tall, Gray Sisal, 26"

Since this IS real sisal you will get that "natural smell" not like the thinner white hemp/sisal. LOVE THE SIZE OF THE BASE and this one fits the height well. Although I LOVED IT my cat didn't. The Plush fabric as well was the flat fabric freaked him out because he is used to a "carpeted base or a wooden base". He would touch the plush black fabric and back off immediately and the same with the flat (no cush) fabric. He would try to stretch without stepping on the base to scratch which caused the post to fall over. I as a buyer loved it but no go for my cat.

This is generally a pretty good product. Its simple, sturdy, good quality and looks better than most scratching posts. Like anything you buy for a cat, they will be interested in it for the first five minutes and then occasionally return to use it.

I have two young cats and this post is big enough for both of them to play on at the same time! They love it and I like that they can entertain themselves and each other together!

My cats love this scratching post. They're on their third one because the rope does get pulled and shredded, as to be expected. Sturdy enough for the larger cat to fully stretch on

When you do your research you'll learn that cats should have a scratch post as long as the length of their body at least to stretch out on. I have several small scratch posts at home, most she did not use. I purchased this scratch post for my kitten. It was on a really good sale and is totally worth the price. Very easy to assemble and a really nice product. My kitten is already climbing it and thanks to the great length of size, she will be able to use this post for the full length of her life. Highly recommend.

Easy to assemble and sturdy enough. Cats love batting at the little bird toy attached to the spring on the side. I'd purchase this product again.

Despite the description stating this is 26" tall, the package itself and my measurements say it's only 20, which makes a difference and wasn't what I expected. I'll post a pic of my cat using it, she loves it, but can't stretch high to use it. She also loves the box it came in :-)

cat shows no interest in the scratcher pole!!! I hate to return things and I wanted to give her time test it out!! I went as far as trying to show how it should be. .I added catnip!!! imagine a 61 old person scratching on the post!!! I really would have liked to not have to return as I am not rich!!!

The top of the scratching post deteriorated in only 3 weeks of assembling. This is my third post but 3 weeks of use by two, 2-1/2 year old cats is unacceptable. The other two lasted quite awhile. If the company offered a "replacement top portion", strengthened the top pad and made it hard for any domestic cat to destroy, it would be worth $26!

This scratcher lasts much longer than carpet scratchers and is priced reasonably. Our cats love them even after they get worn out eventually. Have been using this particular item for 3 years now.
