Love this product. Previous homeowner decided to put 2nd popcorn over original and then covered it with a latex enamel in our master bath. Its' a nightmare! Don't bother with cling film on a ceiling, it's more of a PIA than just setting alarm on phone for 30 mins and spraying the area you just did. Do that for a couple of hours and it'll come off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I found this stuff years ago! It is such a great product that makes removing popcorn ceilings so much easier. Applying the gel and letting it sit over night made it so easy to just scrap the popcorn off of the ceiling. It helped so much it didn't ruin my ceiling leave spot chuncks of the ceiling left or anything. The Max Strip popcorn ceilings remover helped so much that I didn't have to use so much pressure on my hands arms and back to get the popcorn off. The rooms I did before buying this was so hard to remove and did a number on my back that I was going to hire someone to finish the rest of the rooms. Thankfully I found this stuff it saved me thousands since it made it so much easier for my to do it myself. If you want to get rid of your popcorn ceilings I highly recommend this I would not suggest removing the ceiling stuff without using this stuff at all there's no way I would ever try to attempt to do it ever again without buying this product in using it. I think it also saved a ton of money with the fact I didn't have to repair the ceiling like I did before without this stuff it helped remove everything so easy that there's not scrape lines left on my ceiling dents or anything this product is truly amazing and I'm so glad I found it I highly recommend buying it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband was hesitant about removing the popcorn from our bathroom ceiling as he thought it would be a difficult task with unknown results. He kept postponing the removal until I got him a gallon of Max Strip to give it a try. We were concerned about it possibly having an unpleasant strong smell but were surprised with it being okay. He rolled the mixture onto the ceiling and left it overnight, then with a spatula he started scraping it slowly (we were concerned about making a mess under the popcorn). He had a box with him to catch the scrapped soggy popcorn as he went which was perfect as it limited the mess to almost none. Now he is confident to continue removing the popcorn in other rooms of our house which was something we wanted but were scared of. Follow the instructions, wait (that was the hardest part) as recommended, and strip the popcorn away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good instructions, easy to apply and use, easy to clean. Only thing I noticed is that it took a couple spots in a few places, but so much easier than scraping and sanding it off. Overall, it works good, and I will use it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Max strip painted popcorn ceiling remover worked great. I followed the directions and worked . It was so easy to use and it removed it. The product was on the messy side though and it was time consuming.

It worked but took several coats but did get popcorn off bedroom ceiling. I think previous home owner painted glossy paint so that was harder to remove.

I know people think this is amazing. It did not work in my application. I followed directions, covered with plastic, let it sit for days, parts of the room worked great. Parts of the room I applied a second coat and repeated the entire process and no luck. After some research, new sheetrock isn't much more than this product costs. Unfortunately I paid for both but consider saving the hassle and pulling the old ceiling down. I would have saved time and money.
