These mercury cells are high quality, new, and each tested above the rated voltage. I was discouraged attempting to purchase LR44 cells because of past experience buying very old, dead, expired batteries at Amazon. My most recent Amazon experience, after reading hundreds of reviews, indicated that I could not satisfy my distrust of Amazon products. The problem isn't with Amazon, but with unethical vendors that only care about making money TODAY, and sell products rejected by quality control, or defective knock-offs. I assumed that a third party vendor selling through Walmart would be highly motivated to act ethically. The third party seller “Fadproduct” shipped good, well packaged batteries before the promised date and I intend to purchase from them in the future.
