Love how light the insert is, it's like carrying a diaper bag. Would recommend to anyone. You can also fit car seat out of the car door when parked close to another car when taking just the insert out.. that was a huge seller for me. I hated not being able to fit the car seat between cars when going to grocery store. Also the insert fits in the toddler seat of the grocery carts so you still have the whole cart to fit whatever else

Love it!! Such a life saver with 3 kids and I can still be hands free! Super light weight and convenient!!

We love this seat! It is so great, especially for quick trips into town, and running into the store. It definitely makes outings a lot easier.

The Maxi Cosi Coral XP Infant Car Seat is so light and easy to tote around! With having a toddler and a newborn, I need something light and easy. I love how comfortable the straps to hold it are. They stretch when you pick up the seat, so they aren't still or uncomfortable to hold onto. The shoulder strap is also super convenient. I love that Maxi Cosi really thought of everything with this seat! We had originally planned on skipping the infant seat because the hard plastic handles are so uncomfortable and the seats are bulky. The Maxi Cosi Coral XP is none of those things! The install was extremely simple! The little stabilized leg for the front made it seem extra secure in its place. It is really easy to get the seat in and out of the car. The cover also comes off for washing really easily. I am super thankful that Stellar Product Testing Panel sent me this seat to try out. It has been a dream for crazy daycare and preschool dropoffs. It is so great I would pay for it 10 times over again. There isn't a seat on the market that compares!

The Maxi Cosi coral xp is an outstanding car seat. Very uniquely engineered and designed for a parent like me in mind. Let me start by saying how easy it is to install. The base for the car seat comes with quick latch system and has a visible indicator to make sure the installation is plumb. It has a retractable leg as well for additional support and stability. It was very quick to install and easy to align the car seat with the base on the fly. Disconnecting the base from the car seat is also very easy, like traditional car seats with one handle lift in back. The car seat itself – came in a unique coral color. The only downside I would say is that the color of the canopy (lighter) is different in hue than the actual car seat fabric (darker). The inner carrier component is very nicely designed. Simple to disconnect from the car seat itself and carry using either the over the shoulder strap or the looped handles. The handles are very convenient to lift the seat out of the car seat without having to disconnect the entire seat from the base and take with me when I'm doing a quick errand or eating at a restaurant. My husband also loves the soft padded handles as it's easier for him to carry then the over the shoulder (1 hand operation). For me, the over the shoulder is definitely convenient, useful, and frees up my hands. I also appreciated the fact that it's very lightweight and much simpler to carry then the bulkier traditional version. My husband appreciated how it's not as wide as most other car seats leaving a bit more space in back seat. My little boy was very comfortable in it. I must say he is a bit bigger than most kids, so it was a very 'cozy' fit for him; being 3 months old however it's perfect for him as he likes to be snug. The car seat is made of comfy material and my son looked comfortable in there. Very well engineered. I was given this infant seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

This car seat has seriously thought of all the possible needs for carrying. This is a 3 piece seat: the car seat base, outer carrier, and inner carrier. The inner carrier you can detach from the outer carrier with one hand, while the other is holding the soft padded handles. Those soft padded handles are probably my favorite feature. The inner carrier is so incredibly lightweight! My other favorite feature is the crossbody strap and carry. I haven't needed to use a stroller with this because now I just use the crossbody carry. It seems more comfortable to me and a more agile carry method as opposed to needing a stroller. I now just leave the outer base in the car attached to the seat base and use the inner carrier as my main carrier to load baby in and out of the house. My baby falls asleep in this car seat so I would say he is pretty comfortable. It also comes with excellent padding for the newborns too. We love this car seat! I have to start this review off with just those few words. There are so many positive things to say about this seat & the brand in general. We love Maxi Cosi doing what it can to produce a non toxic car seat! Babies spend a decent amount of time in this seats (and even when they move onto convertible seats), so the non toxic factor is a huge selling point, and that alone can justify the price (which is very reasonable already). One of our favorite features was the removable inner carrier component! Like wow, are you kidding me? No other car seat is like this one! And then to add 2 ways to carry that component; the long, over the shoulder strap (very cushioned) and the two side handles. LOVE! My fiancé is a huge fan of this seat, possibly even bigger than myself! He loves convenience (don't we all?)... Installing the base was by far the easiest thing he's had to do in regards to car seats since our daughter was born 3 years ago, and then again, installing a new seat when our son was born in April. Not to mention, the anti-rotation stability leg connected to the base and the MaxiLock technology made us feel so much safer with this swift and effortless installation. I think my only piece of constructive criticism would be finding a way to connect the canopy to the inner shell vs the bucket that sits in! I found myself having to drape a Muslin swaddle over the carrier some days when the sun was out and shining bright. I do love how much coverage you get with the canopy though- much more than most other brands... Also, maybe have a wider selection of colors, or the option to mix and match! Would love that. Overall, my son really seemed to enjoy this car seat. The padding was nice and cushiony, and I really enjoyed not having to unthread and rethread the straps when I needed to remove the infant inserts! My son enjoyed holding onto the side handles on car rides too which I found super cute& hilarious. Thank you Stellar Products Testing Panel

I am so happy to have received the Maxi Cosi Coral XP infant car seat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is truly a great car seat with its innovative modes of carry. The inner carrier is so lightweight that carrying the baby in any mode is more convenient. The HANDS FREE cross body strap is probably my favorite feature. It's GENIUS! It makes running in and out of the car so much easier, even when baby falls asleep, even when you need to carry the million other things you need to get from your home to the car and vice versa. The 2 carry handles make it super easy to just lift baby out of the car especially once you get the hang of it. (You have to find the right angle of pulling it out or it gets stuck). I also love how easy it is to install the base into the car especially with the step by step instructions printed on the actual base! Overall I was very happy with this car seat. I would definitely recommend! Only drawbacks is that all 3 pieces together are very heavy.

This would be great for a baby with ONE parent/care taker. However, my husband and I take turns with daycare drop offs/pick ups, so this product has failed us. To elaborate, we bought a second base for my husband's car with the intention of leaving the inner carrier at daycare with the baby, but realized that we would also need a second middle piece as well (since it's a 3 part system). So right now, I have to bring the inner carrier AND the middle piece into daycare (which weighs a ton) and then my husband takes both pieces back to the car with him when he picks the baby up. It's even more of an inconvenience than other traditional hard shell carriers. I contacted Maxi-Cosi to express my frustration and ask if they would sell me the middle piece separately, but they refused and their solution was that I should buy another 3 piece system (which is $400). I wish I had realized that this product is more of a burden than other normal hard shell carrier systems. If you're a single parent, it may work for you. However if there is more than one caretaker driving the baby, I would NOT recommend.
