We were in the market for a rotating car seat as my husband and I both have back issues. We choose the maxi cosi as we wanted a seat that would rotate 360. My husband has a small car so its great for him, as when our son isn't in the car with him, he moves the seat forward facing. My husband had no issues with his car seat however my car seat there was an issue with the rotation. I tried emailing Maxi cosi about the defect but i didnt get a response back but when i called them the issued was fixed after I sent an email of the seat not rotating. They were super nice about the issue and will send me a label to send back the defective seat and will send me a new one. Even though the car seat for my car was defective I still love the seat as I really got to see the seat in action in my husband's car. I would definitely recommend to others to get. My only issue with the seat is the rotating button as its in a terrible location and takes two hands to rotate. If you are holding your child this makes for a difficult situation so now you are just putting your kid in the seat in the forward or rear facing position at this point. This is really my only issue with it, but a solution my friend came up with was to put the seat forward facing when getting out of the car. This way if you dont have free hands it will be easier to get your child in the car, buckled and then you can rotate rear facing. But definitely this seat is worth every penny.
We have been very pleased with our Maxi-Cosi Emme 360 car seat. Our daughter was getting up set with her old car seat and the Maxi-Cosi sit her up enough to where she now enjoys car rides. The 360 feature is so nice when putting her in and out of the car. Overall a very nice car seat.
Very durable and we love it!!!
The crotch belt was too tight on my 20 lb 11 month old so I thought it would work better for my three year old since not as much padding is required due to her weight but she complained the whole time of the belt digging into her thighs. Also it was so hard to turn. I had to use my body weight to get it to start turning. I do not recommend.
The car seat functions it looks really nice, it rotates and it's cushiony, too cushiony. The padding that you have to keep on it till a certain weight gets completely in the way and makes the straps around the size way too tight. It was pinching my daughters legs to the point She couldn't stay in the car seat more than 10 minutes It was too painful. It's kind of difficult to turn because you have to have both hands. and installing it was just awkward, And I felt I just couldn't get my daughter's situated correctly.
Purchased this exactly a year ago. Upon receiving the car seat it had several holes in the fabric. Luckily I contacted the company and they sent me new fabric covers! The past year we have not loved this car seat as the straps are ALWAYS tangling and extremely annoying to use. We have not been able to use the car seat for over two months due to it not locking in place now. I have emailed the company and even sent videos with no response. If I could advise anyone it would be to for sure spend your money on a different brand.
I'm a rotating seat lover but the price point of my favs forced me to try some of the alternative options out there. Enter the maxi cosi. Was excited this new seat had entered the market since our last purchase but immediately regretted the minute we installed it. The straps are impossible to tighten and loosen, the cushions are so bulky my 7 month old looked like a scarecrow trying to fit him in there. So we tried fitting to my 2 year old… the placement of the cup holders made it “tight” according to her on her legs. The worst part of all? The rotation. You can't rotate the seat with one hand and as a mom that's an absolute NO. We've got full hands with bags or a baby… I can't be required to have both hands free. Try again maxi cosi. We are all rooting for you. The rotating car seats are a game changes for parents but this one missed the mark
We LOVE the thoughtful design of all 8 of our Maxi Cosi car seats that we have had over the years... BUT... For the arrival of our 4th baby we got two of the Emme seats and I was so excited to have a rotating car seat. However, my by brand new 4 week old baby has his hands and wrists scraped to the point of bleeding each time he is in these seats from the sharp edges of the velcro on the chest strap covers. For the longest time I couldn't figure out what was cutting him up - because who expects the car seat to cause that?!? Once we figured it out, we tried everything to remove the sharp edges, but I can't cut the sharp parts down since it is so close to the seam. Now my baby has long socks over his hands and arms in order to safely ride in his seat. For such an expensive seat, I expected better Human Factors engineering. I would rate the rest of this seat a 10/10, but this one issue caused injury and bleeding to my newborn. A simple design change to the same "Out-Of-The-Way" strap covers as the other Pria Max and Magellen Max seats would make a big difference. Also use snaps instead of velcro! That would make a world of difference.
Don't do it, everything that there has been complains about is true. It's very hard to push down on the handle to turn the seat. The pillow that is pretty much mandatory to have makes for extra tight fit on my big baby thighs and I recently noticed a defect on the base of the car seat. Now I'm going to have to drop more money for a new car seat because i no longer think my baby is safe in it.
Seat Rotates when it's installed correctly locki don't know him or manufacturer sent a new seat to me after I called and they said they would oook at it and bid me
