Maxi-Cosi RodiSport Booster Car Seat, Seafaring Blue

My son (4 years 8 months old) tried this booster seat to see how it matched up to his diono radian. The Maxi-Cosi wins hands down. It's easier to install, makes buckling up a positive experience, and the head surround is comfortable. We also like the cup holder. It can go on either side and stays attached to the seat. We tried the booster in a Toyota Sienna and a Toyota Corolla. Fits great in both vehicles, and moving from one to another wasn't challenging. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently, I decided it was time to switch our youngest from a 5 point harness to a high back booster seat. When this one first arrived, I was first impressed by the fabric.. it has a luxurious feel to it and the seat overall has a sleek and pleasing style. I like the high back and padding around the head which made transitioning to a booster feel less intimidating. It was actually a pleasure to install! The rails clip right into the car which feels so much more secure than the booster just sitting on the car bench. Adjusting the seat to fit my little one was so user friendly and took less than a minute to setup and install. My daughter has been practicing doing the buckle herself and can now get it without help about half of the time with this seat. I'm grateful that this will likely be our last car seat/booster since this one also will transition into a backless booster seat when we're ready for that step. This is my third child to use a high back booster and most of the ones I've had are clunky and the material is not great. The Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport is appealing to the eye, the fabric is premium in comparison to most brands, and the latch system is great. It's easy to adjust and my child can tighten the seat belt in the right position all by herself. I anticipate this being the last seat we'll need for her and if we had to replace it for some reason, I would purchase this one again.

This seat was perfect for us as we have one in a booster and one in a high back booster. Installation was easy and I absolutely loved the built in latch feature which made the process so much simpler. It made the car seat feel safer too, as the latches made me feel more secure than the straps on other car seats which are hard to tighten. The fabric was nice and I loved the color. I could not recommend this car seat more!

Upon opening the box, my first impression was how plush the seat felt without being too heavy or bulky. It was extremely easy to assemble and my child said it was the most comfortable seat they had ever had! I love that I am able to easily detach the back of the booster to turn it into a backless booster, all while still being secured in the seat by the rigid seat anchors. It was extremely easy to install and does NOT have the top tether which can be a hassle in specific vehicles. It takes up little space in the backseat so there is plenty of room to fit other seats for multiple children. The back of the booster has a one handed height adjustment which made it very easy to find a proper and comfortable fit for my 7 year old. The belt sits at just the right height without any struggle. I love all of the aspects about this seat, but my favorite feature is the rigid bottom anchors. They are so simple and easy to pull out and click into the vehicle supports, it practically installs itself! It seems so much more secure to have the seat anchored at the bottom, unlike traditional boosters which can slide around easily on the car seat. It feels like a much safer and more premium option for a booster. I will reccomend to all of my friends, and would definitely purchase another!

I like that it connects with the LATCH system, so I know it will stay in place, but lining up the hooks was not easy. The arms that hold the hooks extend out, which helped, but lining them up to connect them took multiple attempts and climbing across the seat from the other side. Once in, it seems solid and my six year old said it's comfortable. Attaching and detaching the back to change between high-back booster and backless booster was simple and easy, though needs to be done when it is not in the car. Comes with one cup holder that you can attach to either side, comes off easily, and is dishwasher safe. The booster I received is a light tan, which I just know is going to get grubby looking pretty quickly. I recommend going for a darker color. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have enjoyed the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport booster seat that I received from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I really like that it has latch so we don't have to buckle the seat in while it's not in use. I was able to get a good fit for my son and he seems comfortable in it. It also provided good support while he slept in the car. We have only used it in the high back mode because my son is just learning to ride in a booster seat. The seat was easy to install. We did have some trouble unlatching it when the seatbelt accidentally got locked and was in the seatbelt guide. We have three kids, and were able to fit them all in the middle row in our Expedition. My son did need some help buckling the seatbelt because it does sit him up high, but he was able to unbuckle by himself. He can only sit in our middle row of our Expedition because the headrest cannot be removed in the third row and they cause the seat to not sit flush against the seat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport booster seat received a great review by my 7-year-old and was simple yet effective for this mama. My son found it just as comfortable (if not more comfortable) than the other well-known name brand high-back boosters in our possession. He found it roomy for the upper body as well as soft and padded effectively to provide comfort in multiple ways. From a parental standpoint, the booster seat looks sleek in our vehicle and was simple enough to assemble and install. There are two main pieces (plus a cup holder) that come in the box that you simply snap together to use as a high-back booster. If you prefer the backless booster, you simply don't need to snap on the back. The height of the booster back is very easy to adjust for your child's height. The only drawback (and it's certainly not a deal breaker) I found with this seat were the latch bars (see photo) to secure the booster to the vehicle seat. Every other car seat and booster seat I've ever used has latch straps that are flexible and allow for easier installation. This booster seat has metal bars instead of straps, so it was a bit more difficult to clip them to the vehicle's latch attachments on the seat. It wasn't a challenge, per se, but it wasn't as easy as the straps I'm used to. Other than that, I'm very pleased with this booster and happy that it's lightweight and will be very simple to transition to a backless booster as my child grows. The standout feature is the LATCH system. Instead of stiff or strap-style connectors, this booster uses a rail-style bar that slides into place. You press the buttons on each side to hook and lock it in. Once it's secured, it feels solid and makes switching the seat between cars refreshingly painless. That same convenience carries over to cleaning, as the cover comes off easily. It's a must-have for managing kids and crumbs. Just as important, my kid finds it comfortable, with plenty of padding and support. The only trade-off is that I wish it came with two cup holder attachments instead of just one. My kids like having one for water and the other for snacks or small toys. It's a small thing, but it would make the seat feel even more complete. Overall, this booster nails what matters most day to day: fast installation, solid attachment, easy cleanup, and zero frustration. I also appreciate that it can transition from a high-back booster to a backless booster as kids grow. Adjusting it for a proper fit was straightforward, and once set up, it stayed put without readjustment. Not what I expected. Not safe for 4 year old autistic child. This seat is intended for vehicles 2025 and above I guess and I own a 2016. As a booster my child got stuck wi the seat belt and we almost had to call 911 to get her loose. Thank God we were able to safely get her put of the seat. I was going to return it but we went on a trip and put it away and forgot. Now it is just junk.
