I got this unit to replace another type that lasted a few years before it became bogged down. This one gives a better workout but you have to weight down the front leg do avoid tilting backwards when using it. I use a couple of 5 lb barbells. Also the foot pedals are a little smaller than my previous machine making it so you have to be careful when positioning your feet on the pedals. But, I am overall very pleased with this machine.
I'm disabled! Maybe one day I will be able to use it, not, right now. I owned one awhile ago great workouts. I don't know why I bought it all I could do is look at it! Hope!
Simple to put together and easily stores. More sturdy than I thought it would be and reasonably priced. I would recommend.
I use it everyday. I can really feel the the total body workout..... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Would recommend it to everyone
This climber is easy to put together and so far gives a solid workout with arms, legs, cardio. You can go at your own pace and control the level of intensity. It looks solid and sturdy enough to use for an extended time for a fairly low cost, lightweight and easy to move around.
For me, this didn't have enough resistance. I returned it.
Clearly was returned in bad shape, and then just shipped to me the same way. Expected a new product. Parts are falling out.
Where do I begin? If I could give ZERO stars, I would!!! I ordered the $169 maxi climber from price fifty on Walmart website (does not allow reviews to be written/stars given). After reading the “positive” reviews, I ordered this climber as the 2nd to a previously ordered piece of junk! This came ONLY packed in bubble wrap! All fasteners/hardware/instructions was missing. It appeared to have been (used) ordered, returned and then sent to me. The sticker/decals were worn off and was scratched throughout. After exploring the maxiclimber website, I realized this is the discontinued base model. This is the poorest quality of anything. Ever! I'm 5'2” and 115 pounds-this thing was too light and dinky for me. Very cheap looking! As the only thing available is the maxi-classic, xl1000, xl2000, and xl3000. Walmart doesn't even offer the XL. Beware! One thing I did notice, on Walmart the $299 “classic” talks about use of app. On the maxiclimber website, the classic does NOT involve an app! I'm just not going to bother ordering another maxiclimber from Walmart. VERY disappointed! PLEASE don't waste your money!
Came cracked on the top
