5 stars because everything about it was good but I must have received a defective one because it stopped working in about a couple of weeks. Tried to order another one but they were sold out. The heating area is larger than the other ones, got nice and warm so I used it on a lower setting, did not slip off the bed like so many of them do, it's light weight, the controls very easy to use, it's soft material. I liked everything about it just wish I could have gotten another one.
This is the first electric blanket for me in... the 71 years I have lived; this simple investment allows me to keep the heat off which is great, here in Texas, where the daytime temperature often warms to the point I need to turn on the AC. :-) I had to work out the routing of the power cable, but... it needs electricity so it is not optionable, and minor inconvenience when compared to the comfort in which I now sleep on cold nights with no heat running! -tfh-
My daughter and I love it! It's very warm but doesn't get too hot or over heat. Lasts up to 10 hours with 6 different settings.
Just what I wanted a soft yet lightweight and its plenty warm enough on setting 5.I like the fact the cord isn't in middle its several inches over to be closer to outlet.
This is a wonderful product. It heats evenly and is the perfect size for a double or queen bed. It is very soft. The control allows for time as well as heat. I recommend it.
It doesn’t get warm very fast and the part that gets warm is only in the middle of the blanket. But the thing I really dislike is the control. It’s on the same wire that goes under the mattress. I will admit that it’s on a Queen size bed and maybe it’s longer than a full. But still, where am I suppose to put it?
i ordered 4 blankets because there was not heat in my house for the last few weeks. the blanket i used worked but for that purpose but i was kind of disappointed that they did not get especially warm. think i expected a bit more heat. but they were enough to keep the chill off. the other side of the coin is, i only paid half price due to their being out of season for around here. if i paid full price my disappointment would have been significantly more substantial and i would have returned them. so if you buy these, buy them off season. :)
Do NOT get this blanket. Ours is less than a year old, only used during winter months. Washed once, air dried. My kiddo got shocked by something, then found a hole in the blanket. I looked closer and it was discolored, and the wires were blackened and there were spots where it wasn’t coated anymore.
I have purchased Maxcare blankets in the past and I have questions as to weather this was a Maxcare. It only worked a few times. I was very nervous when I saw that the box, the blanket, and the Instruction Booklet had no labels from Maxcare. When I packed the blanket to return it, I noticed that there was a very small, printed label with lines like a upc code that was placed on top of another label and it had the word, "Maxcare" on it. I was so very sorry to have to return this blanket. Although it didn't seem like the other Maxcare Blankets, I was willing to give it a try.
blanket has a small square about 36" by 36" in the middle of blanket that is the heating element that provides the warmth, leaving about 12 " on each side and foot of bed meaning you would have to sleep in the middle of bed to be warm and have no heat to feet.
