My 10 year old is working on this craft and is doing well so far. It comes with extra needles and a good bit of flaws. The hoop is very sturdy. The instructions seem to have been translated from a different language maybe because the grammar is a little confusing sometimes. There is a very nice visual aid for different stitches in knots.

After reading the instructions I'm nervous to start it. It it all written very well, but it is like a different language to me. I'm going to need to wait until I have a nice quiet moment to get it to all make sense. It seems to be very well written and have detailed explanations. The thread looks high quality so I think it will look great once complete. I originally thought I'd have my 10 year old do it, but I think it is too advanced for her.

This little kit is pretty cool. To be clear, it's NOT a cross-stitch kit, as it says in the title; it's an embroidery kit. The distinction is important because I got it for a beginner, but it was too complicated for a beginner so my wife is going to do it while recovering from surgery.
