[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It takes a while to get it started but the result of the clothes be extra clean and the fibers of the cloth are not fuzzy or distorted its nice. I added tape to the washer and dryer door with open on it, that would be a nice feature to add.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a high end Maytag product I do feel like there are a few basic features I already miss from my previous washer such as the auto dispenser feature! I still haven’t figured out remote control feature and I’m still getting used to the handle on the door being awkward. It’s efficient and very quiet! The loads and lengthy but everything comes out so fresh!!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was so excited about the pet hair catching filter but I haven’t noticed anything special yet about what it captures. I get more hair caught around the door. I also have had an error code already which concerns me after only a couple weeks of use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer is great, except for the water that leaks out the back, when I wash bath towels.
Many issues with this washer. It's the dumbest design ever, not being able to access the filter when it clogs (because it eill). The pet pro function is worthless. I have two dogs and the washer could not handle the winter/spring shedding off my clothes. In 2 months we had to try access the filter (THERE'S NO REMOVABLE COMPARTMENT) by removing the entire front panel which will not come off if you don't take the top panel. Since it locks shut when it clogs, we had to cut a hole in the front to be able to fix the very frequent clogging issue. This design is stupid. Do NOT buy it.
I don't normally write reviews, but this washer and dryer combo is so unbelievably bad I felt obligated to say something, if only to save someone else from the same disappointment. If you're in the market for a washer and dryer that will actively make laundry day worse, the Maytag Pet Pro pair is a masterclass in frustration. What's even more impressive (in the worst way possible) is that all of these issues started showing up before the set was even a year old. And for something branded “Pet Pro,” it does absolutely nothing special. If anything, it just clumps the dog hair all together on my clothes most of the time. The washer can't even handle something as basic as fully dissolving a laundry pod. Half the time you're left with sticky residue on your clothes like it just gave up halfway through the job. And the interior light? Blinks off almost immediately after you open the door, which is somehow both useless and annoying. The dryer isn't any better. It's like owning a temperamental piece of junk that throws error codes for fun. You'll spend more time “rebooting” it than actually drying clothes, which is ridiculous for something that's supposed to save you time. And to top it off, the “low” heat setting is not low at all so good luck trying to dry anything delicate without worrying about it getting cooked. Overall, this set feels less like an upgrade and more like a punishment. Save yourself the frustration and buy literally anything else.
This is the worst washer I have ever owned. We constantly have to unplug it during wash cycles to “reset” the washer due to error codes. Then start the wash over. Sometimes it does it twice in a row. We've had it for just under three months.
My machine is a year old. The electronic control failed so it won't power on. They have one technician in the area that is scheduled weeks out. The part to fix this is on back order. The result is that I have a 'new' washer that is under warranty that won't work for months.
I have had the machine for about 18 months and had to have two maintenance calls during that time. Both for clog issues. There is no way to access/unclog the filter unless you take off the entire front panel of machine. This should be user friendly and no brainer! Every other competitor lets the user access the filter through a little access panel on bottom front panel of machine why can't Maytag/WhirlPool? I will likely replace by end of year with a competitor's model.
Nothing but issues. Product is less than 2 years old and I've had to replace the lid lock, drain pump, and actuator TWICE & it doesn't work again after a few weeks. Officially doing away with it and getting something else.. NOT Maytag. Worst warranty and washer for what you pay!
