[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s well lit. Seems roomy. Not liking how the outside set up for getting water and ice. When trying to get ice, it’s hard to not hit the water button. You have to get the glass really low. I love the idea of a soft serve area in the freezer, but it’s a little hard to get the container put into it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I must say that the appliance repair person stated that side-by-side Maytag refrigerators are the least frequently malfunctioning refrigerators in her 30+ years of experience. She rarely receives a call to repair a Maytag. Ergo, my choice. She also pointed out that the more complex an appliance is, the more likelihood that something with malfunction; so, I chose a simpler design than my refrigerator that died. I like the size of this new refrigerator, and I am hoping the 10-year warranty means it will last longer than the top-of-the line but problem-ridden/multiple-class-action-lawsuits LG it is replacing, but I was expecting a better quality interior, specifically the shelves and drawers. The shelves are completely non-adjustable, and the drawers are cheap plastic. The top four shelves are illuminated by only one light, which is located in the top right corner, leaving the lower shelves quite dark since the second shelf is metal. This is the first "sight-unseen" refrigerator that I have purchased, and I knew I was choosing a less expensive appliance (it is replacing a french door/bottom drawer freezer model), but I wish I would have examined the pictures and description details more carefully. However, I am willing to accept the tradeoff if this refrigerator lasts for more years than the last two (both from LG, both less that 10 years). Bottom line--I will only know how satisfied I really am after many years of functional refrigeration.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall good quality. Low level fan noise, no feet underneath to keep the refrigerator from easily moving. I had to put rubber pads under the front wheels to keep it from moving when the doors were opened or closed. Lunch meat drawer is a little flimsy when the drawer is filled. More usable room inside then older 25 cu ft that I had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new Maytag side by side looks great. Has great storage capacity, the ice and water features are great. Two things kept this from getting higher stars - 1) the ice maker bypasses the installed filter and more importantly 2) the condenser and fan run almost constantly. We know they are more energy efficient, but we have noise sensitive family members and the condenser and fan are not as quiet as we hoped.

The only issue I have had thus far as the icemaker won’t produce ice outside of making one batch and no matter what I try to do as far as get the bin to seat right it won’t work and I have to call my own Repair Man because I Maytag couldn’t supply me with a local repair man from Maytag themselves. So this is just a frustration. I’m not sure if it happens to multiple people.

I should have bought a GE like I was going to in the first place this one was way too much money too with all the problems that come with it.. if I could give it no stars that's what I would do and I'd warn other people to stay away from whirlpool. We've had this refrigerator less than a year. It's very disappointing. I've had multiple cans of biscuits just pop in the frig. Ice cubes will just fall out every once in awhile. It seems like it runs a lot. I had always had Whirlpool, and I regret this purchase. Plus the shelves can't be adjusted and you can't even stand a two liter bottle up on the top shelf. The freezer area is small and the divided shelf makes zero sense.

The icemaker is poorly designed - if you want ice you have to carefully avoid the water button or you have water all over the floor. The dispenser is also nowhere near large enough for today's normal cups. More importantly, the compressor 6 months out of warranty, and the part is on national backorder, so we are here at Thanksgiving with no refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Maytag Fridge because my last Fridge was a Maytag also which I had for over 10 years with no major problems. But, this new one I have now in nothing a pain in my neck....Everytime you want to get ice, you have to clean up the floor from ice chips. And every time you want a glass of water, you have to wipe up the water mess in the tray and off the floor. Also, this unit makes a loud hum when it is running...you can hear it thruout the house! I would not recommend this fridge to anyone!! I am a retired Electronic Specialist and I would like to hear from a Real Maytag specialist who could talk to me about this problem!! Thanks
