Maytag MHW5630HW 4.5 Cu. Ft. White Front Load Washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent! We must have been wearing dirty clothes before. Everything is coming out noticeably cleaner. It is very easy to use; just the right amount of features. Intuitive. Simple to use. Love that I am using half the water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My clothes always come out clean, however if you use the quick cycle for anything you then have to run a rinse and spin cycle after or your clothes are still pouring water out. Why even have a quick cycle if it doesn't work? Also, the detergent tray sometimes will fill up with water and not release the water for several loads.

The only disappointment is the lack of clear explanation of all of its features. Especially the controls and the differences in each of the cycle settings. Even the lack of clear explanations online. I am tech savy but still find myself wondering exactly how all the settings work. Needs to have clear, simple to understand instructions on its functions all on a single reference card.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The spin cycle is violent and LOUD for about 15 seconds twice during the course of washing one load of laundry…any size. The drawers of the bottom console open and the washing machine shakes back and forth like a cartoon. Despite the cycle force, the clothes are not spun as dry as you would like despite the speed of the cycle. My clothes take a bit longer to dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the washer and dryer to be stacked. The washer is so low that it's hard for me to get the clothes out of it. The dryer controls are too high for me to read. I like the quiet running, but it takes a long time to wash a load of laundry. The dryer sometimes needs to run a second time, but that may be because I can't see the settings and have it set wrong for the load. Overall, I'm not terribly happy with the set.

Absolutely pathetic excuse for a Maytag product. I purchased mine in April of 2025. It is now, July 2026, and it is completely inoperable. In fact, it will not even turn on AND has the door lock on. After searching the internet for answers, I see that this particular model has MANY negative reviews for design flaws, including that of the control panel and user interface, which are the most likely culprits. Based on this experience, I will NEVER buy a Maytag again.

This washer has been a headache from the start, three months into owning it, it completely died. It was during covid so getting a tech out to fix it under warranty was a hassle, took weeks to order the part and fix. Now, its just been doing a weak job as washing, its spray nozzles do a poor job at spraying the clothes, especially larger items like blankets. It also takes very long to complete a simple load, over an hour and 20 minutes. Its labeled as energy saving but when its running for so long, energy consumption is awful. My bills are higher for it. Never again a front load, never again a Maytag.

Run away! Mine washers is less than five years old and has been nothing but trouble since I got it. Started with it running an entire cycle not adding a drop of water. Finally got that fixed and then it stopped draining the drain filter was plugged. Got that cleaned and now it randomly shuts off in the middle of the washing cycle! I'm done!!!!
