[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really loving this pet pro filter it collects the lint and hair it keeps it in the filter area for a great collection area, the filter itself is easy to clean. I have a few small brushes from my vacuum cleaner mini vacuum attachments that are just the right size. My washer is new and works beautifully, I can’t wait to try out all the new features. This washer is a 5.0 so I will be able to wash most of my large blankets, I’m really glad of that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a homeowner who values durability and efficiency, I’ve had a consistently positive experience with Maytag appliances—especially their washers. From day one, it’s clear these machines are built to handle heavy loads without compromising performance or fabric care.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It takes a while to get it started but the result of the clothes be extra clean and the fibers of the cloth are not fuzzy or distorted its nice. I added tape to the washer and dryer door with open on it, that would be a nice feature to add.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer because of the pet control feature. Sadly this feature does not do what it claims to do. The washer itself is fine but would not recommend if you want to get additional pet hair removed. This is just your basic washer
This maytag washer has ruined my colored towels. I've had this washer about 6 months. My previous washer had a perfectly working bleach dispenser, which this machine does not have. In that previous washer, I successfully washed colored towels and other items with bleach, and there was never any bleach stains on the items. On this washing machine, when liquid bleach and fabric softeners are poured into the dispenser drawer they immediately dump into the drum. I am using less than a tablespoon of bleach and it immediately pours into the drum. This is not satisfactory.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought the pet pro because we have lots of shedders in the house. It catches some pet hair. It also started malfunctioning and throwing an error code within 6 months. The cycle stops with the drum full of water and you have to turn off the breaker then turn it on again, then drain and spin to finish the wash. I’ve had the circuit board replaced under warranty but it still fails 2 out of 3 loads. The repair place is going to replace more guts next week. Fingers crossed!
Everything they make is garbage now. At one time it was a brand built on quality now that are just riding on their old reputation. Everything they make is far from "commercial quality" dispite their false marketing. We bought a top of the line washer from them a few years ago, the glass top lid hinges rotted off because of the terrible design. Now I have the wires hanging out of it so I can bypass the lid locking mechanism just to make the thing work. Tons of people online with the same issue. On top of that the high water efficiency design means they cant even clean a pair of jeans with some mud on them because they use such very little water. I guess they assume we all live in California and have no water. I'll never buy another Maytag product again. Great job Whirlpool on destroying a top brand in record time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had my new appliance for just under 2 weeks and there is water trickling down the bottom of the door during the wash cycle. I had to,place a towel on the floor. I am attempting to call Maytag for assistance and I’ve been on hold an hour so far and still waiting. This is unreal.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had 3 high end maytags in about 5 years...I'm incredibly disappointed. The settings and sensors do not provide enough water ...even with 2nd rinse. So many times I pull clothes out that aren't completely wet. I've searched for ways to add water and nothing overrides these settings. Now a load of laundry takes about 2 hours bc I run it on towels setting with 2nd rinse. I'm so frustrated and can't seem to get support and answers to optimize this experience.
I bought this washer four months ago. I really wanted to like it, but after four months it stopped working. After tons of troubleshooting, I found out that there is an internal filter that is only accessible from the bottom, and thus typically needs a Maytag repair person to come and fix it. The only accessible filter is the special pet filter, which isn't that effective. If you're willing to figure out a way to lift the washer to get to the internal filter or are ok contacting a repair person every few months then this washer is fine. Otherwise keep looking. Be careful of reviews that are for recent purchases, this only becomes an issue after a few months.
