Maytag - 7.4 Cu. Ft. Smart Gas Dryer with Steam and Pet Pro System - White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We enjoy all the features especially the notifications through the app on our phones. We are however struggling a little bit with getting mixed loads (that include towels) to get the towels completely dry. This is a very nice dryer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer works fine. I haven't tried the steam yet. Spent extra for the Wi-Fi on both the washer & dryer & they won't stay connected because our Wi-Fi is greater than the one suggested we use. I can connect at the lower speed, but it won't stay there because we have the 5g which it keeps reverting back to. Is there an upgrade or a fix to remedy this?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for @3 months and I’m not satisfied for the money I paid. It’s Maytag, it’s supposed to be the ‘best’ however, not so much. Clothes don’t fry at first attempt and they are normally wrinkled immediately upon removing from the dryer. Yes, I’m following instructions, but it should be easy AND just work.

I'm worn out with replacing the 2 year old model that had 4 service calls within 2 years and ultimately was declared “not able to be repaired”. I don't think it is me. My previous dryer lasted 17 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased December 1st 2025 received about 2 weeks ago Feb 11 2026. I gave up an 18-year-old unit that I finally fixed prior to receiving the new one. These new machines are aluminum thin compared to my old unit. My advice to Maytag is to go back to the making of the old units without all the modern electrical equipment on them not necessary to have all that equipment. You can have a base machine on the market as well. I'm sure this new machine will not last 18 years 😭

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not happy with the surface finish. Paint scratches way too easily. Very different from other dryers I’ve owned that have a much more durable finish. Received a touch up paint bottle, which is similar to nail polish, and shows everywhere I’ve used it. Would not buy again.

We've had 4! In less than a year. Horrible manufacturing. Broken door, buzzing and thumping noises. 4th dryer is loud but no suspicious noises so I've just decided to live with it. Would never buy Maytag again!!!!

Dryer is one year old. It is a gas unit converted to propane by appliance dealer. It never has heated correctly, gets mildly warm, never hot enough to correctly dry clothes. Calling Maytag for service is a nightmare. Wait times horrendous.
