MAYTAG MGDP586KW front load gas dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our 22 year old Maytag dryer, and would never even think about using any other product. This new dryer is great quite, large and comes with 5yr warranty/ and also 10 year on other parts. Please take the time to look in to this dryer. I'm sure there is none that will come as well built.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dyer dries clothing, towels, and bedding perfectly on the low setting. Dryer doesn't need unnecessary Internet access. The buzzer is sufficiently loud when wanted and can easily be turned off when not needed. Dryer has a nice lint screen that catches a lot more lint than my last dryer so far less lint is being blown out onto my driveway. Drum has a light so prevent missed items being left behind. Door has a window to see the action inside. Dryer is quiet enough that window in door is more useful than I realized when I bought it. Dryer seems to be mostly mechanical so hopefully it won't be a nightmare to fix should it ever break. Dryer came with a dent in the lower front panel below the door, but my retailer tracked down the replacement part as quickly as possible and replaced the dented section quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Drys clothes extremely fast, this is so much more efficient than our old electric dryer. Controls are simple functional without features that never get used. It has a massive drum which allows for large loads to tumble freely. Only complaint is the door opens to the side and down the front.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 41 years with my old Maytag Washer Dryer I was afraid of the college degree that I probably would need to operate the new models. So far the learning curve is surmountable. In other words, it's pretty user friendly. The only complaint I have is the depth of the tub. My old one was not as deep, just wider, and that made it easier for me to unload the bottom of the washer. Now I have to use a "grabber" to try and get clothes out. I have heard this from other women friends of mine, so it's not just me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the dryer 3 weeks ago, delivery & set up was a week later. We're still adjusting to the new features & since it's a basic dryer, it does what it's supposed to do. We aren't real pleased with the dryer filter & the lint that adheres to the felt edges.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the dryer just a couple times. My only concern is the how big the lint trap is. Not very wide and when I did towels I had to keep emptying the lint trap every 20 min or so. Seriously thinking of looking at other dryers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dryer works good. Dries clothes quickly with hardly any wrinkles. I only use it on medium heat, because high heat is not necessary. It catches a lot of lint in the filter. Much more lint than previous dryer. I am not so happy with matching washer. Very noisy and not enough water on deep water setting.
