[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maytag is a brand that has survived many generations. I appreciate the large capacity drum and detergent dispenser. The ability to connect to the washer and dryer makes it easier to know when either is done ... no need to find and/or adjust the volume for notification. It's also nice that they have more than just the standard white or silver colors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for a Maytag washer I have had for 9 years. This new machine is as good and better than my old washer. More options and very quiet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the new washer. I've had a Maytag in the past but it wasn't working correctly. The only problem I had was I had to wait a couple weeks to get it in white. Its nice and quiet and works every time I turn it on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Maytag front-load washer is dependable, efficient, and feature-packed — especially strong on stain fighting and handling big loads. It’s a great upgrade if your current washer struggles with tough laundry days and you want some modern convenience built in.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t had it long but, so far, so good. I’m a bit confused about the automatic detergent dispenser. At the store they explained how to use it. I was happy with this feature but the guys who installed the washer told me the dispenser released too much soap. I’m still going to use it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took awhile to figure out the controls and preset times for washing. It should not take an hour to wash a load of clothes, but we were able to figure out how to manipulate it. Our sons use the washer and dryer, so we don't know how well they wash or dry. I'm more happy with my ancient Maytag top loading machine and dryer that only takes 25 minutes to wash no matter the soil level, and uses water which is actually what cleans the clothes more than the detergent. Also prefer the energy preferred dial on my ancient dryer. Works better than setting a time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not had it very long. It is louder than my past Maytag. Also it’s very hard to do a small load. It goes off balance!!! I just wanted a simple washer, so hard to find without bells and whistles!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a Maytag and hope it works out. Have experienced a few glitches in the three weeks I have owned it. The chime to tell you it is finished is basically non- existent even if you are in the same room. The LOC seems to lock the machine without provocation and takes many tries before you can unlock the machine. Waiting for the321 countdown is pointless in my option. You should just push start and it should start. Finally, if you even move to close to the spin button the spin turns off and you are left with a soggy mess. Hopefully things will get better with time and experience but not for the faint of heart.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously owned a Maytag washer and dryer exactly like this one that lasted 5 years, then the computer board on the dryer went out. Because of the cost of the board plus installation, I decided to buy a new Maytag washer and dryer set. I only had the new set for 6 weeks when the computer board on the washer went out--had no power. It was very disappointing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty disappointed. Machine cleans well, has some good features, but falls very short on key performance items. Optimal Dispense does work great, though, is not as adjustable as it should be. No factors for water hardness. This machine does NOT perform an extra rinse, it merely adds additional water to the final rinse. Also, some cycles do not perform interim spin between the rinses, which makes rinsing even more inadequate. This machine also takes a very long time to balance loads, and quickly skips interim spins. It is also fairly loud at lower tumble speeds. Also, half of the cycles will fill to a warm temperature when hot is selected. Very big performance flaws that should not occur. I am actually considering returning this machine.
