[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Maytag washing machine at a large discount for my honest opinion of the product. First, this washing machine has an agitator as opposed to the impeller style. Personally, I think that is just the preference of the purchaser. I have found that the agitator style cleans clothes better, and the wash cycles are shorter. Although the agitator takes up space, since it is just myself that I do laundry for it works well for me. This machine has a number of different cycles, including one for bulky items, which allows me to wash a comforter without having to take it to a laundry mat. After washing a few loads , I found that they are clean and the spin cycle works so well it takes less time to dry the clothes. The only thing that I would mention is that you have to hold the power button down for 2 or 3 seconds to get started as opposed to just pushing the button and releasing. Finally, Maytag is a trusted name in the industry and is known for making lasting products.

I was afraid that the newer ones wouldn't give me the satisfaction that my previous one had, I was wrong. It's very intuitive, quiet and modern. It cleans very well and I couldn't be more satisfied.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently just switched from a front load to this Maytag top load and love it! The clothes seem so much cleaner, and fresh. I love that it has an agitator that really shakes the clothes around to get them clean. The controls are super easy to use, and you can download the app and it will notify you when your laundry is done. The set up was perfect and easy to figure out. I will say if you’re short, I do have to stand on my tip toes to get the clothes out from the wash tub when it is finished. It is a little noisy when filling with water, but much less nosey than when our front loads were on a spin cycle. So far we love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Maytag washer to replace a front loader. I have seen cleaner clothes coming out. The only thing I would like to see improved is the power on be a little faster in response on actually operating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The app connecting is annoying and I haven't quite figured that up. I don't like that. I can't just adjust the load. I have to make sure I remember to tell it to give me a deep load. The electronics are unnecessary. It's a washing machine for God's sake. I would never wash clothes using an app when I'm not at home. You never ever know what could happen. Washing clothes at home when I'm there with a good quality washing machine does not require an app and electronic preparation.

No matter how carefully we arrange the load it tends to stop and tell us to redistribute the load. Really annoying, especially when we start a load and then leave, only to come back and find it wasn’t completed.

We had this washer 4 months. The encoder and control went out and the washer won't work. Gives F6E1 error. Parts are on back order. Whirlpool support has done little to help with the issue. The repair call has been open for 4 weeks and still the washer isn't fixed. After 20 plus years with Maytag, this support issue is going to really cause me to look to other brands on our next washer. If you are looking for technology in a washer don't get a smart washer!

Purchased in Nov 2025. May 2026 has an F9E1 error code. Stuck on canceling cycle and pump continues to run. Hoses are not clogged. Guarantee circuit/control board shorted out and parts will be on back order for god knows how long. Just like everyone else's problem. How many machines need to have the same issue without a resolution? These machines are not cheap and it cost a lot to have to run to the laundromat everytime you have to do wash. Maytag needs to do better. Will never purchase another Maytag in my life.
