I have about thirty aquatic turtles in my pond that eat this. I also mix it with other things when I give it to my wood turtles and various box turtles. I wish the raccoons did not love it as much as the turtles so I now store it safely in the house.
My red ear slider was lacking in vitamin a, and was suffering from cyst which made him look deformed, surgery and this food has him looking great, full of energy.
I have been purchasing this product from Mazuri for years. I have about 30 RSD's and they thrive on this diet. The money it saves me buying in bulk is very budget friendly. Great product and company.
We have been feeding Mazuri Aquatic Turtle Food to our aquatic turtles for years now and they have been doing very well on it. We also supplement their diet with fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, and each and every one of our turtles have grown up to be nice and healthy animals.
I have been buying this product for years because the vet at Tufts veterinary teaching hospital said it was the very best. My turtle, Tannîn, was used to eating junk food in the form of mealworms at the time, but when I took away the mealworms for long enough he eventually started eating this. Now he's fully used to it and he loves it!
I have a red eared slider and have been feeding him another brand. He seems to be wasting the floating food more than eating it. I thought I'd to splurge on Mazuri and see if it's as good as they claim it to be. My little guy could not get enough of this food! Once he ate few pieces, he loved it so much and almost came crawling out of his pond. I highly recommend this turtle diet.
Turtles eat it up. I have 4 Yellow Belly Sliders. We live in south Florida the turtles eat it every day. One is fully grown and has been eating this for about 3 years, she is very healthy. I throw some yard plants and lettuce remains in to supplement. It is really cheap compared to pet store feed and I think better quality. Will be buying Aquatic Turtle diet for the next, oh boy 20 years.
I've been feeding Mazuri Tortoise chow and aquatic turtles pellets to my guys since 2001. I've also turned on countless other hobbyists to your products over the years. Unfortunately, the price per 25 lb bag, and the shipping seem to go up every year. I'll be forced to find a cheaper alternative pretty soon I'm afraid.
The only problem I have ever had is with months old food being sent . It hasn't happened in the last several orders .
This latest batch seems strange. Every time I feed my turtles, about 1/3 of the pellets immediately sink to the bottom. I also notice the size and shapes of the pellets are much more variable and less uniform than in the past. What happened? It the past the product was a floating food. Now most of it if floats but a lot of it immediately sinks to the bottom.
