Mazuri Small Bird Breeder Diet, 25 lb

This product was recommend to me buy a fellow fancier,as he reported good results in an improved condition of his flock.My birds were reluctant to try the new food,but in no time everybody was hanging on the feeder where Mazuri was been offered.I can attest that the product works very well,my canaries have an improved performance,they are more lively,their feathering is smoother,and the breeding is going very well.This product should be made available in every major distributor,as the shipping charges may be to expensive to continue using this product,or may deter others from trying it.

My husband (a veterinarian) and I have a large menagerie which includes exotic animals and birds. I was tired of buying expensive seed that our birds would inevitably waste (not to mention the mice that would be attracted to the seeds, and the empty seed hulls everywhere). The Mazuri small bird maintenance diet is great because my birds thrive on it, they don't pick and choose among the pellets (like they do with artificially colored pellets), and the pellets can be fed to a variety of birds, including the smallest finches as well as diamond doves, cockatiels, parakeets, lovebirds, etc. There's no waste, no mess, and my birds are healthy and happy. I switched to Mazuri products about four or five years ago and have regularly fed my critters on Mazuri ever since. We have skunks, opossums, ferrets, raccoons and other exotics that are pets, and I feel better feeding them specialized diets that have ingredients targeted for their individual dietary needs. I also greatly appreciate that Mazuri is affordable, as we go through a lot of food! My husband and I have both worked at our local zoo, and it was from one of the animal caretakers there that we learned about Mazuri products, and I'm so glad we did!

Transitioning my canaries from a seed diet to Mazuri pellets was a great decision. Less mess, less waste, and the birds get a more balanced diet since they can't cherry pick their favorite seeds.

This has always been consistently high quality food. Not dusty. I feed this to my kakariki parrots and budgies in addition to fruits, vegetables, herbs, a few types of grains, and a little animal protein.

My canaries quickly changed from seed to pellets which rather surprised me. I had expected a longer transition and was pleased with the results. They seem to look forward to the daily feeding and there isn't as much waste.

I purchased some cockatiels and I'm weaning them onto the diet. So far it's going well although we are still in transition. They seem to be eating more and more of it daily.

My conures have switched from seed to this pellet. You just can't beat this diet!
