McCormick Culinary Kosher Bacon Flavored Bits, 13.0 oz Bottle

McCormick bacon flavored bits are delicious on its own as a snack, in salads and other dishes. They are crunchy but not hard. The texture is just like bacon bits from the meat of bacon, without the grease! Low calorie.

I use this in mac and cheese, on pizza, in eggs, etc. I have to watch my cholesterol, and this allows me to have my bacon and eat it, too.

It definitely gives the flavor of bacon. I have tried a couple different ways of adding it in and the one I stuck with is after cooking your meal.. sprinkle it on and mixing it in.. I definitely enjoy the bacon flavor tho..

I had been buying the small shakers, but they were sold out, so I had to buy this huge container instead. It's the same bacon bits, which I think work better when mixed into a sauce or dip, rather than being sprinkled dry, but in a jumbo container which is a little unwieldy. The cap has one side meant for pouring, and one side meant for sprinkling, but the sprinkling side is too flow-limited and is frustrating to use.

Terrible after-taste. I though I might at least use the product for seasoning but I ruined a bowl of soup. My inspiration for trying the product was to get away from the fats and other unhealthy components of real bacon bits but that inspiration has fizzled out. Back to the real thing!

Smells like a house fire. Taste horrible. My dog won't even eat a piece.
