I know this is an imitation vanilla but I sure can't tell the difference. I make French Toast a lot for my father-in-law and always add a drop of vanilla. I had run out and not replaced it because the "real" vanilla is too expensive. So when this arrived, I was thrilled. I made Dad's French Toast and waited to see if he noticed any difference. Nope. Delicious. I tasted the French Toast myself and could not tell the artificial from the real. This will be a big help in baking. Don't hesitate to buy it, the difference is indistinguishable.
I love McCormick's products. I love to bake. I usually use the real vanilla extract but , thought I would give McCormick's a try. I have baked some egg bisquits with McCormick's Imitation Vanilla Extract and was very Pleased with the flavor. I have the CLEAR imitation vanilla. In my egg bisquits it did not matter because of the full egg in the recipe but, if you are baking something that you want to be very white this clear flavoring will keep the products white color. On the box it suggests using the CLEAR vanilla for WEDDING WHITE FROSTING TRY McCormick's Imitation Clear Vanilla Flavoring
We enjoyed using this product in the use of our icings. It taste just like regular imitation vanilla but was clear. We were able to make pure white icings. Unlike with dark imitation vanilla where the color is kind of an off whitish color. I would purchase this item in the future. This product is useful for anyone baking in the kitchen. I have always been happy with McCormick products. No disappointments with this product. The cap is a snap one so it is easy to open and close and helps keep the product fresh and better tasting longer. This makes the use easier especially pouring into things.
MY FAMILY HAVE BEEN USING ALL THE FLAVORS FOR YRS,AND YEARS OF WONDERFUL,PIES AND CAKES FROM MY CHILDHOOD IS WHAT THIS REMINDS ME OF,THE FLAVOR FROM THESE PRODUCTS ARE TASTY,AND WONDERFUL,I'M PASSING THE FLAVOR DOWN TO GROW KIDS!
We use this product when making different things but most of all we love using this in a whip cream for fruits my kids family and friends love it
Use it quite often and love it
works really well when you dont need the dark flavoring and tastes great in cookies and icing.
McCormick has the best vanilla extract. It works in what ever you need a great taste of vanilla .
I normally buy dark vanilla extract, and in all honesty I could not tell a difference. Only that its clear was the only difference. I use it to add flavor to my pancakes, my kids couldn't taste a difference either. So I would buy it if a recipe called for clear.
This is pretty good for an imitation vanilla. It has a good flavor to it. And mixes well with other ingredients. At 2 fluid ounces it is a good size bottle for most bakers. I like that the imitation vanilla is clear in color. You can put it in a recipe and it will not be adding color to what you are making. That is very nice. Especially when making frosting, cookies, cakes, and other things. With the imitation vanilla being clear your white frosting can be truly white. Which is really helpful when making wedding frosting. The plastic bottle has a flip top lid that has a little ridge on it that makes it easier to open it, pour it and close it.
