In my opinion this is the best dip for fish that McCormick makes. I would definitely recommend this.
Only fish fry we use!!
I'll do the dislike first. That's it, nothing to dislike. What I really like is, when there is anything that I can not get a our local stores, I ALWAYS seem to be able to get it at Walmart for a very reasonable price and usually ships free, unless you really want it in a hurry, and then you just pay for the expedited shipping. I placed this order on Jan 7 and received it today Jan. 8 just after lunch. Which means that this evening I can deep fry my Catfish and Shrimp for dinner. I ALWAYS use to use McCormicks Golden Dipt Onion Ring Batter Mix, but I can't find it anymore. I guess I'd better stop now or you folks may think that I work for Walmart which I do not. Hank V
This is great for puffier coating. Not as puffy as tempora. Anson is still our favorite. All have to be seasonal however
It makes everything really tasty and crispy, I have used it for Fish, Chicken tenders and eggplant. You can use it on anything you want to use a batter on.
There was not much flavor, the meat you use should be seasoned to your liking before you fry it. Overall, it was what i was expecting.
Great crunch, complimented my fish but it failed on the browning part. Was looking for the old type breading that this evidently replaced. Also if you use their suggested quantities you waste a lot of produce.
Very good fish batter. This was the first time I purchased this batter. Has a very good flavor. The fish was nice and crispy. I will purchase this batter again. It was easy to use and a lot less prep time for me.
This was a bit salty, but batters well and crispy for the deep fryer. Whole box was enough for a big bag of tilapia!
I buy and use a lot of Mc Cormick's products. All have been very good. However, the Fish and Chips batter is VERY salty. It is impossible to rate the taste because all you can taste is salt.
