McCormick Gourmet California Lemon Peel, 1.5 oz

I add this when making Fresh Blueberry-Lemon Loaf Cake w/Glaze, Meyer Lemon Loaf Cakes, anytime I need to enhance a flavor. I do use Fresh Lemon Zest as well. Great product !

I have tried other spice companies versions of Lemon Peel, but nothing tastes as good as McCormicks. Always tastes like you just cut a fresh lemon.

The product came with safety lid seal and will be a great asset in cooking which calls for lemon peel!!

Like to add to many recipes

Instead of grating a lemon every time I need lemon zest in a recipe I just keep this on hand. So far it has always worked perfectly with recipe needs.

Lemon peel only had 4 months before expiration and has no lemon smell to it. It's clearly has sat in a warehouse 3-4 years and now they are shipping it to customers. I will definitely be returning it to the store for a refund. So I cannot attest to the quality of the lemon peels.

I'm sure this is a good product, but gave lesser rating because the lid was broken. Had to put in a different container.

I do not recommend it because it tastes very bitter. There is another brand (S T) that is organic and does not taste like this one. It actually gives a nice lemony flavor to your food.

Buying spices from Walmart online not a good idea. Too close to expiration date.

I purchased this off the shelf in Walmart. I have to say it is stale, with absolutely no lemon taste or smell. $6 dollars down the drain.
