McCormick Gourmet Collection, Dill Weed, 0.5 Oz

Wow, this McCormick Gourmet Dill Weed is superb. I am not going to state the brand I have been using in the past, but McCormick definitely puts it to shame. I decided to make some Potato Salad the other day and added some of this new dill weed, instead of my other brand. Later that evening at dinner the family remarked how great the salad was, and wanted to know what I had done differently. I knew a head of time how wonderful it tasted, but waited to see if any one would notice. It gave it a richer aroma and flavor. I've also used it in making a dill weed dip thats great with chips, crackers and veggies. Mixed the dill with melted butter, lemon and brushed it on salmon to barbecue. Hmmmm so delicious...... I've converted to McCormick Gourmet Herbs Dill Weed!

I use dill weed for a variety of things. The main thing I use it for is our family recipe of dip. Usually when you buy spices they can seem dried out and not have much flavor or smell. Not the case with this! I was so happy to open it and it smelled fresh and the taste, well it is amazing! It made the best dip to date, the dill weed taste was strong and it smelt even better! Everyone raved how good the dip was and I credit it to the fresh spices!!

This is a good product. I love the flavor. It was not overpowering or to weak. I used it in many dishes. I used it on fish, in tuna, in soups, in salads, & I can't wait to try it in other dishes. This product had an exceptional flavor. I highly recommend this product to everyone. I suggest that you not only go out and buy some today but also keep some on hand. You never know when you're going to use it. Every dish I used this in got very high compliment. I would buy this product over and over again, and plan on doing so.

I only really use dill weed for my chipped beef boat dip which I am asked to make frequently for my "dish to pass" for parties and get-togethers. I noticed that this dill weed seems to be more flavorful that what I was using and I thought my dip was actually better. I also didn't use as much as the recipe called for because I've noticed that McCormick spices and herbs are very flavorful...more so that many other brands. I also like they this comes in an actual glass bottle instead of a plastic one. I believe that the glass bottles keep the contents fresher for longer and this is important when using a spice or herb you don't use too often. I have to check on what other food items dill might be used for to see if I could use it more often.

I rece3ived this Dill Weed through the Spark Review program. I am not a big spice person but decided to give this one a try and liked it in a salad and also on a tomato sandwich with Mayo. I would say it is definitely worth giving it a try even if you are not a spice person. Gives a new and interesting taste.

YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON MCCORMICK SPICES HERBS AND SEASONINGS TO BE FRESH AND FLAVORFUL. I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THE GOURMET PART. IS IT CALLED GOURMET FOR ANY SPECIAL REASON? IT DOES HAVE A NICE JAR FOR DISPLAY. BUT TO ME A DILL WEED IS A DILL WEED. MAYBE THEY SHOULD EXPLAIN ON THE JAR WHY IT IS CONSIDERED GOURMET LIKE WHERE OR HOW ITS GROWN OR PICKED OR SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE PROCESSING. AS I SAID I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED MCCORMICK PRODUCTS BUT WHEN I GO INTO THE GROCERY STORE I WOULD NOT PAY EXTRA BECAUSE IT CLAIMS ITS BETTER I BUY MCCORMICK BRAND BECAUSE OF ITS QUALITY AND I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THE MCCORMICK BRAND, I DO RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

I decided to make chicken soup in a 6 quart stock pot with this product. I added chicken, water, salt, celery, carrot, parsley and 2 tablespoons of dill to make sure enough of the flavor would come through. No stock was used top confuse where the flavor was coming from. Noodles were added later. It simmered for over an hour. You could taste the dill. It was fresh in the bottle too which is shaped so you could grip it well which helps to control the flow. I wouldn't use as much dill next time because it's not needed. It's a good product. The dill is fresh and has taste to it. Seeing through the bottle really helps in controlling how much you use and what's left.

As with all McCormick herbs, this is no exception. Its wonderful. So fragrant and as close to fresh as you can get. My favorite is Yellow corn and dill. The corn and dill weed bring out the best in one another and the taste is fresh and crisp.. The taste of summer!

I always enjoyed dill seed with my salads, especially egg salad. Just couldn't remember to buy or could not find sometimes. I decided to try this. It's very good and has a strong dill flavor than dill seed. It's excellent in my egg salad and other dishes. It has a richer flavor than dill seed and is much greener which adds to the look of whatever you put it on. A little goes a long way too. The aroma is richer and rather different also but of greater quality. Just hope I'll be able to find it in my favorite stores. Will definitely switch to the dill weed.

My motto is, find something they taste good with, and use it every time. I use a wide variety of herbs and spices to liven up every day foods.
