Worth buying

jomax June 14, 2015

I have rosemary bushes in my front yard for many years. I watch the bees on the flowers each year so I'm very familiar with this herb. I was pretty impressed with McCormick Rosemary leaves. They were quite fresh . I roasted lamb shanks, using this herb only so the taste wouldn't be confused by any other flavorings. After searing the roast first to seal in the juices, I let it roast until just pink inside. These leaves did give it a nice flavor. I used 2 table spoons sprinkled over the entire exterior to make sure there was enough to taste. The jar is designed very well for good gripping. That helps in making sure you don't pour out too much or too little my accident. It' s a good product for being in a jar. I didn't give it 5 stars because I'm used to a fresher flavor from my bushes and non jarred rosemary.

So Fresh and fragrant

dvivster June 16, 2015

I was highly impressed with the freshness and the fragrance of McCormick Gourmet Herbs Rosemary Leaves. You can smell the Rosemary spiciness right away and it really seems just picked. It was vibrant and delicious! I made roasted potatoes and roasted chicken and this was impressive. I also find that I have to use a lot less than lower quality brands so in the long run I feel you end up saving money by buying quality McCormick Gourmet Herbs Rosemary Leaves.

Be careful with Rosemary

GrowingKidsMom June 15, 2015

I love Rosemary within my cooking. I used to use the powder form but I've known it to become too hot. With this new brand I have, they are like little stem; therefore I know how to monitor it. I just used this in my cabbage sprout creation over the weekend. I took just a pinch, maybe no more than 6-7 stems and put it in the corner of the pot. This dish turned out lovely. I could taste the richness of the Rosemary and it didn't give too big of a spicy or inconvenient taste to the tongue. I'm glad I have this because I had pulled back from using the rest of the Rosemary seasoning powder that I've had for some time now. I am ready to look up some new recipes that calls for to give my daily intake a dose of it!

Excellent

Femftle August 16, 2015

Another excellent spice from McCormick. I used this to make a rosemary chicken and it was absolutely wonderful. Again love the fact that it comes in a glass container as it seems to keep it fresh. I would definitely recommend the McCormick Gourmet Herbs Rosemary Leaves.

Rosemary is a versital herb

YachtN June 15, 2015

To be honest with you, I am new to Rosemary although I have been served many dishes that include the herb. I see many recipes that include Rosemary are part of their ingredients. Potatoes, poultry, game, beef, and breads or bagels are some examples that may include Rosemary. My experience is limited with this particular herb. Being retired I now have more time to learn about cooking delightful dishes. Flavor is important to a successful dish. My plan is yo establish a database. Start with brands that are recognized as excellent products and cook some dishes. As one's experience becomes more experienced then you can experiment from your database. I chose McCormick as my herb database as I learn more about great cooking. McCormick has earned a good reputation for their spices and seasonings used to enhance foods. They also take pride in being a corporate citizen by contributing to civic, educational, cultural and health care organization. Attached is my first dish, flank steak, using Rosemary.

Tastes Great!

Walker16 June 10, 2015

Taste great on meat. We made a beer can chicken and used the rosemary in the half can of beer that the chicken is going to be sitting on.thrn I mixed some rosemary with salt and pepper, and butter, I mixed it all like a paste and started using the buttrer paste I made and started shoving it in between the skin of flesh. And as the butter, starts to melt then the butter and herbs will slowly seep into the rest of the chicken..

Love My Rosemary

BossLady87401 June 13, 2015

Rosemary is available in markets year-round. Dried and powdered versions are also readily available in the spice section. I have always used McCormick Rosemary because it is the best dried rosemary on the market. I use rosemary on cornish hens, roast chicken, roast potatoes and many other foods such as pork dishes, fish, shish-ka bobs, and any other grilled foods that you feel would be enhanced by the flavor of rosemary.

Great taste!

SherriP61 June 29, 2015

I had not ever used the McCormack's brand of gourmet herbs before. I was surprised at the difference between them & the brands that I have used. For a dry herb, the color was much more brighter. The fragrance was, also, much more intense. And, I must say the flavor was more intense as well. I had always thought dried herbs were all the same & usually bought the cheaper brands. I am sure the McCormack brand will be more expensive, but if I can use less to get the same flavor intensity, it may be cheaper to use. I like to use the rosemary on top of oven baked potatoes with cheese, onion & bacon. The flavor was awesome.

The right spice

Holthome June 16, 2015

This Spice is perfect on Salads. It gives just enough flavor without being overwhelming. I like that it is not a powder, but mini-sticks. Makes it easier to gauge the amount put on foods.

Best Brand

jomazob August 19, 2015

I made pork chops and red potatoes and it was the best! I love the freshness and taste of this brand. If you can't get fresh rosemary than this is the best by far. Thanks Walmart for making it affordable and carrying all the better brands.
