I am a Tony's seasoning gal when it comes to Cajun, but I think I actually liked McCormick better! It has the zing you expect from Cajun seasoning and I loved that you could see the flecks of garlic and onion in it. It wasn't too spicy for my kiddo, and the adults thought it was just enough of a kick. I like that you can taste the seasoning and it's not just about the heat! I didn't know what to expect from this product, but boy does it pack a punch. I've used it in chili, soup, and even on pasta! You can kind of taste each individual flavor of the seasoning when you taste it alone. But the real spark comes from adding it to food. It sort of dances on your tongue. I will definitely be using it until it runs out and then I'll be buying it in the store! I am writing this review in exchange for receiving this product. But please don't let that influence your decision to buy!

This Cajun seasoning is absolutely delicious, with the perfect amount of spice and zing! I love using it on chicken and in pasta dishes especially. I loved using McCormick Gourmet Cajun Seasoning! I seasoned chicken and cooked it on the grill.Cajun is my favorite. This one has a great mix of peppers, garlic and onions. It gives a perfect amount of heat! This bottle is nice, it let me shake a generous amount to cover 2 lbs of chicken. Each flavor of flakes is visible. It grills well and the cajun flavor is perfect. I received this free in exchange for my opinion.

This spice paired nicely with grilled chicken breast for a slight flavor that was not overpowering. For some people that like a more robust, strong spice, this is not the spice for you as it was more mellow than spicy. But if you like a more mellow taste this is a great option. Rated this 4/5 in the middle because while I like a mellow flavor, having "cajun" in the title would lead me to believe this would be more robust and may have prevented me from buying it on my own.
