We use the spice on some of our Chinese food and it was delicious usually we have to get different kinds to make it flavorful but not spicy. I've had other 5 spices that weren't nearly as good as this we'll certainly be using this in our home. It's a great add-on to many meals it doesn't have to just be my Chinese food but it did taste really good on my stir fry got to admit.

Being a bit skeptical, I used the spice blend immediately upon its arrival. It smells wonderful something I totally did not expect and so I tried a spice cake! and the depth of flavor that it added was just simply wonderful. The whole family enjoyed it. I next tried it in my Asian stir-fry with chicken the blend again added so much flavor. The aroma smell and taste is amazing I will definitely keep experimenting and I am going to try a pumpkin pie with the spice blend instead of the routine spices. Thanks McCormick. it tastes good, but its not real chinese 5 spice, it has anise and star anise, which while coming from different plants, taste the same just star anise is 2x stronger, the anise shouldn't be there, it should have Sichuan peppercorns and fennel instead of anise and ginger

I'm always excited to try a new spice combo. I use it to season baked chicken. I did not realize that this one include anise. I was not a fan of this flavor profile. It was better than I expected, but I would not purchase again
