This bottle was definitely worth it. The taste is so potent and let's talk about the packaging it is BEAUTIFUL it looks so high end and will look so good in your kitchen or in your spice rack. Definitely very aesthetic and let me tells you it makes your pasta taste amazing. Definitely recommend this product.
The McCormick Gourmet Organic Crushed Rosemary provides the right amount of seasoning for many dishes. I used in on salmon before I baked it and vegetables after I did and it did not over or underwhelm the dish. I am excited to share this with my son soon.
We use rosemary a lot in our household so I'm very particular on the flavor. Our default brand is McCormick however we've never used the organic brand. I couldn't tell a difference between organic and regular McCormick but because this was organic, I would definitely purchase this.
I prefer crushed rosemary vs whole leaves as it's easier to use and has a more intense flavor and easier to eat as well. This was easy to use as the shaker top has holes in it that easily accommodate the rosemary. I added some to a rice and chicken dish that complemented the garlic and pepper nicely. Highly recommend.
This is a really high-quality spice. The rosemary has a bold flavor and smells very fresh as soon as you open the jar. A little goes a long way, and it adds a nice depth to whatever you're cooking. I also like that it's already crushed so it's easy to use. The glass jar looks nice sitting out on my counter, too, which is a nice upgrade from the typical plastic bottles. Overall, just a really solid pantry staple.
I was given this product in exchange for my honest review. When I used the McCormick Organic Crushed Rosemary I was happy with the fresh scent and grind of their rosemary as it was fine enough to not feel "seedy" when you had a bite. The flavor shined through without having to use more just to taste it in the recipe. I used it in the dinner pictured - breaded turkey cutlets and roasted mini potatoes. The seasoning perfectly came through in the cutlets and stood up to the oven roasting. The only thing I think this wouldn't be your best choice for would be if you wanted to sprinkle herbs as more of a garnish. This is a bit fine for that. The glass bottle makes it easy to see when you are running low. I would absolutely recommend McCormick Organic Crushed Rosemary.
I cook and I bake a lot. I have almost every spice one could dream of, but for some reason I don't have dried rosemary on hand. When I know I am going to need it, I usually have the fresh stuff, but sometimes a recipe calls for it, and it's really great to have on hand. I was a little taken aback when I saw the bottle. It's very luxe when I think about what comes to mind when I envision Mccormick and Schmick, which is a little more utilitarian. Clearly they are going after a different market here with this upscale branding and packaging. Beautiful packaging and branding aside, this has so much scent and flavor. It packs quite the punch and seems very fresh. I've only added this to some sourdough crackers but I can't wait to add it to some Focaccia!
I received this product in exchange for my review and I am impressed! I'm a fan of rosemary, but my family has never been a fan of the "needles" - McCormick crushed rosemary is the perfect solution! The bottle came fully loaded to the brim so no skimping on product and no extra air exposure. The taste is traditional, mild, not overpowering. Perfect to sprinkle free hand without measurement - roasted artichokes came out tasty!
I like using the McCormick Gourmet Organic Crushed Rosemary on my cottage cheese toast. The rosemary tastes very fresh and I like that it's packaged in a glass container. It's a very high quality herb. I imagine it would also be great with fresh baked bread, eggs, pizza and meat. I got this product for free in exchange for writing this honest review.
First, thank you McCormick for the free organic crushed rosemary. Second, I used it to make a roasted potato side dish. I found the rosemary very good, however it is chopped pretty finely. I would have preferred a fuller rosemary and then be allowed to chop it myself. Taste was good however.
