We typically use whole nutmeg and grate it ourselves as we use it. We have now used this already ground variety several times and have yet to be able to tell the difference between the taste of it and the taste of the freshly grated whole nutmeg. Huge win for us as it's much easier to use it already grated instead of having to grate it ourselves every time. Flavorful and easy to use… huge benefit for us!

McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Ground Nutmeg is exactly what its name indicates! Nothing nasty added to it and it is fresh and tastes authentic. I use it sparingly in cookies, brownies and healthy oat bars I make as well as gingerbread type cookies (I like like to swap unhealthy ingredients for healthy ones). For savory dishes I use a dash in my buttery mashed potatoes... it just gives it that extra special flavor everyone asks me about. Don't overuse it, it's supposed to be a very small amount for the enhancement of the other ingredients in each dish.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I used this nutmeg placed with coffee grounds to brew in my coffee as well as sprinkled nutmeg on top of my frothed cream to top my coffee with. I love nutmeg and find this product has excellent aroma and strength in taste.

Upon opening, I could tell right away that this is great quality Nutmeg! It was very fragrant in the best way! I sprinkle Nutmeg on my coffee every morning so I appreciate the quality! This is flavorful and fragrant. I am finding I don't sprinkle nearly the same amount of this as I normally would with the lower quality nutmeg i was previously using.

I have used the McCormick Gourmet Organic Ground Nutmeg in baking carrot muffins. It smells great before even putting it in the recipe, and it smelled great while they were baking. I can't say that it made the muffins taste better then before but it added to their overall all taste.

Added McCormick's nutmeg to my cup slowly stirring it into the hot beverage. On the first sip, the authentic flavor and aroma transported me back in time to my Grandma's kitchen in the Caribbean, enjoying homemade hot chocolate on a Sunday morning! So good !
