I received a free sample of McCormick organic Saigon cinnamon sticks in exchange for my honest review. I found them to be flavorful and excellent to use as a stir stick in certain teas and coffees. I also grated with a small handheld grater in cake/cookie batter and on top of icing for cinnamon rolls. Yum!
I've tried a few different cinnamon sticks over time and find that these are noticeably stronger. As soon as you open the jar, you will smell the intense aroma. The flavor actually comes through when you use them—not weak like some of the others I've tried . I've used them in coffee and simmering on the stove, and they hold up well without falling apart. Definitely recommend
I love Cinnamon so I was excited to try this. I use cinnamon daily in my greek yogurt. Although these were sticks, I put about 3/4 of the bottle into a grinder and was able to sprinkle on my yogurt. Super delicious and very fresh tasting. The remainder of the sticks is being used in tea. Very happy with the product and highly recommend!
McCormick Gourmet Organic Saigon Cinnamon Sticks have a unique cinnamon flavor that adds an additional dimension to baking . I made some cinnamon rolls and grated one of the cinnamon sticks over the top. The flavor was great as my family loves cinnamon. Additionally I used a stick in a boiling pit at home and the house smelled divine with this Saigon cinnamon. Would recommend! The sticks were fresh and not old as you sometimes get in the stick form in which they are already crumbling.
It's ALWAYS good to have cinnamon in your pantry. It's very aromatic ~ usually associated with Christmas ~ but of course, can be used year-round. Not only does it smell good, it tastes good, as well. Some people use them like straws in short drinks. Boil in water with potpourri ~ use in dry potpourri. Being "crafty", I tie a bow (usually using Jute) around the stick/sticks and place it on a gift. Smells good and looks "homey"/real/authentic. There are a MULTITUDE of uses for Cinnamon and some believe it has some healing qualities. McCormick is one of the BEST of the spice companies. They're so established, well-known, dependable and produce excellent , quality spices. I always choose them for my Cinnamon. (note: their bottles are great, too, and can be used for other things when product used)
This bottle contains a number of sticks of cinnamon. They could be used to stir a favorite beverage or grated/crumbled over any food item that you would normally put cinnamon in. Having the whole stick instead of just ground cinnamon gives your foods and beverages a festive look and fragrance.
I love that this is organic, yet the flavor and aroma are incredible. I prefer this brand over others that I’ve recently purchased. I really enjoyed it in my spiced tea and hot cocoa, and in making my own potpourri. I will definitely buy again.
I believe you can’t go wrong with buying McCormick spices. I use these cinnamon sticks as part of my simmer pot mixes. I love the glass jars they make the spices look very gourmet.
I'm a crafter and love making gifts and doing different projects. Pinterest is full of great ideas! I tied them around a candle. When the candle heats up, it heats up the cinnamon sticks and the house smells amazing. Cinnamon is more of a seasonal scent, but I like it year round. Besides doing crafts, you can add a stick to honey tea as a stirrer. Yum! So many different things to do with a cinnamon stick!
McCormick's Gourmet Herbs Cinnamon Sticks are the freshest that I have found. The smell alone tells ya something good is cooking. Then touch the cinnamon sticks on the tip of your tongue and feel the heat. You will know it is fresh. Make cinnamon rolls with McCormick's Gourmet Herbs Cinnamon Sticks and your family will taste the best.
