I tried this in my coffee because I like amaretto coffee. I tasted so good. I use a lot of extracts and this is one of my favorites. I also used it some homemade frosting I was making and it taste great not like alcohol at all like most of the extracts I have used. I received this product from the Spark Reviewer program. I will be buying some more when I run out. It smells wonderful!
I love this McCormick Specialty Extracts Imitation Almond Extract. I make almond cookies and this extract adds just the right amount of almond flavor, without being overpowering. In fact, McCormick Imitation Extracts are the only ones I use. All of the flavors are good. I haven't made my almond cookies in a long time, so this was a reminder to make them and pass them around.
I particularly like this almond extract to take the place of vanilla extract in several deserts My favorite quick sweet is to mix a drop of Almond Extract into a bit of water and add powdered sugar to make a paste, then spread it on graham crackers. A nice, no-bake sweet.
Excellent to flavor Almond Jelly
The extract has a good taste. Its smooth and tasty.
I really like this almond extract. Even though it's "imitation", it's still excellent for baking. The cookies tasted really good. I would purchase again.
We have never purchased almond extract before so I can't compare to other brands but we felt this had a great flavor. We used it in a French toast recipe that turned out really good. The price is great too.
I used it for making almond cookies and they tasted great.
This product adds a nice addition to baking items and has a great almond taste. Thumbs up!
I recently received the McCormick Specialty Extracts Imitation Almond Extract 1 ounce bottle as part of the Spark Reviewer Program. McCormick generally produces great quality products (I strictly use McCormick Spices & Herbs) so I thought this Imitation Almond would uphold that high standard, unfortunately not. You can smell the alcohol immediately after opening the bottle which adds to its very artificial taste (yes I know it's Imitation). I used it in dark chocolate cake recipe that called for Almond Extract. Despite the strong taste of the dark chocolate this very artificial/strong alcohol taste that stood out quite easily. I was disappointed in the quality of this McCormick product and will definitely not recommend it to anyone. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to buy a pure Almond Extract not the McCormick Specialty Extracts Imitation Almond Extract.
