McCormick Kosher Onion Powder, 22.0 oz Bottle

I recently started trying to buy onion powder and garlic powder in bulk (to save money). For some reason, when McCormick sells these powders in larger size, they change it to extra fine powder. I use this to season meat, vegetables, stews, everything. It's fine for stews an soups - but absolutely awful for seasoning meat or vegetables. Because of how fine it is, it just sits there like talcum powder. I'm not sure why they don't just sell the same consistency product that's in the smaller bottles. Now I've got to deal with schlepping this back to the store for a return and having the cashier give me side-eye for returning an opened product.

This not what I ordered kosher onion granulated powder. Not regular powder regular powder cakes up I need to replace this powder for kosher granulated onion powder can you do that?

Rcvd only 2/3 bottle full. See pic. Was I shorted product or what is going on here?

I'm an avid home chef. Mixing up new recipes is part of my mental therapy, and I pride myself on having a collection of very used and appreciated herbs and spices; no expired seasonings here LOL so I'm constantly going through the staples. We're talking onion powder, garlic powder, lemon pepper, dill, cumin etc. I typically don't explore different brands after I find something at works. Well here I am trying McCormick's onion powder. Have I tried it before? I don't think so. Store brands normally do it and I haven't deterred away. But this is actually different. The onion powder is sweeter, and in fact as much darker in color then it's store labeled counterpart. I did not expect that to be a thing. There's always variance in color or shade but not by a significant amount. It's a nice fine blend which is preferred because of versatility in my opinion. But it's the taste that's really notable. I'm wondering if perhaps the dark color is because it's a slightly roasted or caramelized onion? My only issue now is that I'll be questioning every other brand that I consider a pantry staple now.

I was so excited to try this onion powder sample as I had just run out of my usual onion powder. I must say, this McCormick onion powder has so much more flavor than what I normally buy. It was a nice surprise as I always cook with onion powder and now my meals are more vibrant and savory. This makes me want to swap out some of my other seasonings with McCormick since I was so impressed with this onion powder sample!

I used it as a secret spice in my Mac and cheese and it was delicious as always. I also used it in my stir fry and it was tasty there as well. The taste is fresh and it comes out of the container nicely. The lid is also a little thicker than others but seals well.

This onion powder is easy to use and add a delicious onion flavor to my dishes. It blends nicely with vegetables, meat, soups, and sauces without leaving any lumps. It is also convenient when I dont have time to peel and chop fresh onions.I would definitely recommend it!

McCormick released an excellent option for those who like to add onion powder to their recipes. This one is rich, and true to its advertised taste. It easily enhances that classic onion flavor to any meal and the container is super easy to handle and use as intended.

I received this product for free in exchange for writing a review. This onion powder makes a big difference when added to dishes, and it is delicious! The onion flavor packs a punch. Even just opening the container, you can tell by the smell that it's higher quality than other versions.

McCormick kindly gave me this Onion Powder for free so that I could review it. It's hard to review onion powder because it usually blends in with the other flavors, so I purposefully chose a recipe where I thought it would stand out. I made Onion-Roasted Chicken & Sweet Potatoes. It turned out wonderfully! Even my husband who hasn't always loved onions, thought it was delicious!
