The delicious and fresh it's hard to believe that it's a dried. It has a stronger aroma and I enjoy the lid how it has easily opens with a fliptop and the holes are big enough that I feel like I'm getting a lot of spice with a little effort. I received this product for free to review, but would gladly have paid for it. I've purchased McCormick brand spices and I've purchased off-brand spices, and I can say that McCormick brand spices are always the best. I put this basil on a pizza, on tomato soup and on grilled chicken and it was delicious on all 3. I would definitely recommend this basil to anyone looking for high quality spices!

I usually prefer to use fresh herbs, but the other night I really just needed a quick marinara dipping sauce. I took some Italian passata, and some garlic powder, the McCormick's basil and some flaky sea salt, and it came out absolutely delicious. It almost tasted like I used fresh.

I love McCormick seasonings. Use this basil leaves on so many of our meals and it's a great added spice! The top is great with the two options for sprinkling or having more come out at a time. Highly recommend it as well as the other McCormick seasonings.

I adore basil. I prefer it over oregano and will go heavy with it any time I make pasta. I really struggled with what to do with the product once I received it. Which seems silly. Basil automatically means spaghetti sauce to me. But I really wanted to try it do something unique with it beyond pasta sauce. So I did a little research on what flavor profiles that basil works with beyond tomatoes and garlic. Also since it's almost fall I settled on a dessert instead of a savory dish. I decided to try my hand at a blackberry and basil sourdough. That didn't work out as well as I wanted but I did like the flavor so I decided to keep it some and next did blackberry scones with a basil and lemon glaze. My husband said they were delicious but "bougie". I took them to work and they were gone 10 minutes after I put them on the food counter.

While fresh is always best, this is a great replacement for when you don't have fresh on hand. I would recommend that anyone who likes basil keeps these on hand. I love to use them in pasta dishes and most Italian food.
