McCormick Organic Ground Turmeric, 13.25 oz Bottle

The McCormick Turmeric was shipped to me by Walmart. I had previously purchased Member's Mark Turmeric, but couldn't eat it because it was bitter and way too smoky-flavored. I use turmeric daily, so I needed a better quality brand. The prior brand I used was McCormick, so I searched for the same brand, but in a much larger size than I had before. Walmart had the best deal on the larger size in a two-pack. I bought the two-pack, which had to be shipped to me. There was a slight smokiness that my previous McCormick Turmeric didn't have, but with roasting the tuber before it's ground, it's to be expected. The flavor was good, not bitter, and it goes well with all my food choices. I would definitely buy this again.

I one wants turmeric that is unadulterated, lead free and has good, pronounced flavor, this is a fine choice. I like to add it, withe freshly ground black pepper, to natural peanut butter sandwiches, as well as on chicken burgers. It gives bar-b-que sauces an interesting twist of flavor. Combining hot pepper sauce with turmeric brings out some sweetness in the hot pepper sauce. I have no idea why, as neither item is sweet alone. If you've never used turmeric in the past, be aware that this stains every porous surface it touches- including the skin. For fun once, I put some on one tooth to see if it stained teeth. Teeth aren't necessarily porous, but the tooth was yellow for a day. (Oops!). On the positive side, it is a very adept wood

I buy it to ease joint pain and stiffness in my dog and myself. I put it on all meats I prepare for my elder dog and myself with other spices that are ok to give animals.

i have a constant use for this spice. l first learned about it in indian cooking. now i use it myself every day. it doesn't only make the dishes taste better, it also improves my brain activity

the container is very thin plastic , so it is flimsy. Didn't expect that from McCormich brand.

This has an off (bad) smell that is not supposed to be there. I boil it uncovered for a couple minutes during the tea making process to get rid of the smell. I also have Members Mark Tumeric which does not have the bad smell, but a deeper, richer, "golden" flavor than this one.

Not ORGANIC!!!! It floats to the top of my tea. Do not like that. This must unadulterated turmeric, is why it does that. Buy at your own risk. 😐👎🏽
