McCormick for the win. I was holding the parmesan garlic flavoring packet for the thick cut bone in pork chops we were having for dinner this Saturday. But the grandkids had different ideas, we had a snow day here in Upstate NY, and the kids came over to stay. Snow and fresh air builds a healthy appetite. Grandma wasn't prepared. While looking in the cupboard I came across the simmer and serve sauce and had a great idea! Threw on a pot of water grabbed the packet with a cup of milk and within 8 minutes tortellini and garlic parmesan was ready and on the table. Fast, easy, and kid approved. Guess I will have to grab another packet for Sunday's dinner now.

With 2 toddlers at home, I like to make really quick meals. This packet was easy to make- just add milk and heat. Took about 5 minutes. It was flavorful without being overwhelming. I added it on top of baked chicken and also mixed some on top of some rice. My kids enjoyed the flavor. Would get it again for sure!

I am not sure how thick the sauce was supposed to get but it was very liquidy following the instructions of one packet plus 1 cup of milk. The taste was very bland, not much parmesan or garlic. I ate it over chicken. The only way I would consider eating it again would be in replacement of ceaser dressing in a salad or a wrap.

My family tried this for dinner with pork chops. The sauce is easy to make. The sauce is a great consistency with good creaminess. My one complaint is that the sauce is bland. Labeled parmesan garlic and I barely taste any garlic. There is a hint of parmesan flavor. Overall the consistency is spot on but the flavor is lacking and bland.
