Meadow Gold Low Fat 1% Milk with Vitamin A and D, Gallon

The quality is great, it taste amazing and it is an excellent value! I usually enjoy fat free or low fat milk with cereal or meals.

That was my question when I purchased Meadow Gold 1% Milk for the first time in many years. The packaging looks and feels the same. Yet the milk is definitely different, and in a good way. Meadow Gold is a farmer owned company. As owners of the company they are responsible for the high quality that keeps their dairies open, so they pride themselves on having the top quality and best tasting milk available. Meadow Gold farmers also pledge never to use artificial growth hormones with their cows, so there is nothing dangerous or artificial in their milk products. Overall, Meadow Gold Milk may look like other brands of milk, yet they are not, because they are Meadow Gold cows from Meadow Gold farms.

Each serving contains 8 grams of protein, calcium, potassium and vitamins A & D. It's creamy without being too heavy, and despite having less fat, it's flavorful and not watered down like other brands.

It was delicious, but I didn't notice a big difference in flavor compared to the cheaper store brands. I gave it 4 stars mainly because it costs a bit more and isn't always as easy to find. Overall, it's a good option if it's available, but not a must-have over the others.

I picked up an order this morning. When I got home (aprox 30 miles from Walmart) I found that the milk expired 5 days ago.

I ordered buttermilk. This is not a substitute for buttermilk.
