This is a really good, solid general purpose seasoning for smoking meat and steak/burgers on the grill. Its a one stop pour of seasoning, no need to add salt if you do be careful, add it minimal so you can taste it first. This blend has nice balance of all the basics and a few extras to compliment a great flavor on meats.
He loves when dad makes pulled pork on the grill but my son is a very picky eater. This is the only season we buy anymore because he loves it as well as the rest of the family. Great on chicken too! Lowest cost we have been able to find too.
Love the Meat Church brand for all our seasonings. Can’t go wrong with this one especially on pork but good to use for all meats. This is our go-to when we want a little kick with a savory profile.
texas sugar sounds like it would be a sweet seasoning but it is actually a savory taste. it is delicious! my family has never ordered a meat church seasoning we didn't like!
This was my first time using holy gospel bbq rub. I really like how much it brought out the flavor of the meat that I was smoking. I'll continue using it
I never really cooked or used seasoning. I recently purchase and Air fryer and have been learning to cook a new way. I ordered the seasoning as suggested by videos on YouTube. I can not say one way or another how this compares to other brands. It is nice to have and as I learn more I am sure I will use more often.
This is my go to rub for pork ribs and chicken. I searched for years to find a rub that was not too sweet and not too salty. This rub is PERFECT...I get compliments and people ask me what I used.
I don’t usually buy commercial seasonings, but Meat Church’s Holy Gospel BBQ Rub won me over. The flavor balance is perfect—savory, sweet, and just enough heat—creating a great crust on everything from brisket to chicken. It’s versatile, consistent, and makes barbecue taste competition‑ready without extra fuss. Most rubs end up forgotten in my pantry, but this one keeps me coming back and has earned a permanent spot on my shelf.
My family enjoys the “Meat Church” YouTube videos so was excited to try one of his seasonings for the first time. It is a very fine grain seasoning with complex flavors that are more unique than the average spice mix. However, compared to other blends the fine grain of the seasoning made it feel a little lack luster for me more than I was expecting. (I tried it on grilled chicken drumsticks and wings)
We are new to the skill of smoking meats and this seasoning was recommended to us. It was easy to use and the flavor was great! My only issue is the packaging-I hesitated to purchase it because of the skeleton on the label. If that was changed I'd be more likely to share it with more people!
