MEAT! Pro External Vacuum Sealer

Simple to use but has several features to customize the vacuum seal desired. The cutter slows you to utilize the roll of vacuum bag and further customize to the size you need while cutting a straight line. Has a built in time out counter so you dont over heat the sealer strip. It locks so you don't have to hold constant downward pressure. Love it!

This vacuum sealer is just amazing. Nothing against the big name brand sealer I have used for the last 5 years but this piece of equipment is simply in a different class of quality all together. Much much tighter vacuum and zero failed seals so far. I probably wasted the cost of buying this sealer in wasted bags. The design actually helps you to measure the amount of bag you need so no more bags too short to seal. Also the vacuum area is much larger than the other guys so it makes it much easier to get the bag placement right. My only complaint is that it took me 5 years to finally get one! Side note: The bags Meat Your Maker sells are better quality and cost less than the others, have to love that!

Works better than others I've used. I've only owned this for a few weeks now and sealed mostly meat with it (wild boar and sausage). It does the job better than the last one I owned. I think I only had one mis-sealed bag (due to juicy meat). however the cutter isn't quite as easy to slide and must be pushed down pretty hard while sliding. This is kind of annoying when you're trying to make like a hundred packages. The bag roll could also use some kind of stop so that when you're cutting the bags you can push the cutter past the edge of the bag material. As it is the roll and slide all the way to the edge of the unit and I ended up with a couple bags that weren't perfectly square at the end. Also, the clear plastic access door to the bag roll can't easily be opened without opening the whole top of the unit. All in all it's a pretty good sealer but lacks some of the attention to detail that I would expect, especially for something called “pro”.

I havent been able to use it a ton for processing my deer. You have to push the air out some bc if air is stuck in the middle where the meat is, it wont suck that air out of the meat. That's a little dissappointing as far as that but I do like you can have liquid and it will continue to vaccum well. I just think I need to (trial and error) learn it a little more. Also the cut and seal system could be designed and engineered a little better to be more proficient and quicker.

Unit is a bit louder than my food saver. It does seem to create a better seal and deal with liquids better. Unfortunately although only cosmetic the chrome trim on the front was coming off as soon as I unpacked the unit. It does not affect the performance, but for the price i expected the quality to be slightly better. I have only used it to sell about 25 things so far and I'm pleased with how it works.

The sealer did not seal completely on whitetail backstrap. I had a lot of little air pockets around the meat. I set it on moist and regular vac. It did work good on deer snack stixs. I had the setting on dry foods and tight seal. I'll try to jimmy the settings the next time on moist meat to get a complete seal

Very disappointed with this sealer. I have tried several different bags and have yet to get a really tight seal. Most bags have more air left than what I can squeeze out of a ziplock.

Was not impressed by any means with this vacuum sealer. Also, anytime you lift the vacuum sealer lid, the lid to the vac bag roll also opens, so you get to close both lids anytime you open one. Poorly designed and manufactured.
