This does the job and is awesome for the price point. I've had it for a couple months now, using it with solids and liquids. The quality and design are great for the low price, I think I paid about $4.99 for it. It's not the sleekest, but it's not the bulkiest either. It comes with a little protective cover that goes over the tip of the prong. You can change the battery on the back of it. It is magnetic so I have it stuck to my fridge by my stove. It doesn't have as many features of some others...but if all you need is a cooking thermometer then you'd probably love this one. :)
I would definitely recommend this nice meat thermometer it looks very nice and professional and worked perfectly it already had batteries in it it comes in your choice of two colors and I used it to cook my Thanksgiving turkey which I was worried I wouldn't do correctly without something like this so it really came in handy and what a great price
It's easy to use. Accurate reading.
Everything about this is great. I don't trust the magnet to stay on, just keep it in the box
It seems to work well and a lot quicker than me old one. We will have to see how long it last.
Even my husband loves it!
It doesn't have an off switch, it just eventually turns off, which makes me worry about the life of the battery, but I do like that it's magnetic so you can stick it to the fridge %26 it doesn't get lost in a drawer.
i love everything, made cooking safer and easy.
I like that this measures the temperature faster than my last thermometer. It only takes a couple seconds for the reading to stabilize. I like the interface. The product page said it would not come with a battery, but mine arrive with a full battery. There is an intermittent contact issue, however, with the spring contact on the battery. If I push on the enclosure or even just push the button, the strain sometimes makes it momentarily lose power, requiring me to turn it back on. The issue is the spring contact doesn't make good contact with the Li button cell battery. I wedged a piece of paper on the opposite side of the battery, as shown in the picture, which pushes the battery toward the contact enough to cause it to make solid contact. I don't think this will be too much of an irritation. If it weren't for this one flaw, it would be a five-start product.
They jump all over the place. I'm not really sure when it's right.
