This pump is simple to use and EASY to travel with. I originally borrowed it from a friend for our trip to Hawaii and FELL IN LOVE. I went ahead and made the purchase for myself, zero regrets! Thanks for a great product
I bought this pump hoping it would help ease the whole pumping on the go, so far im really enjoying it i can clean the house and cook and so on while pumping makes it so much easier. No more being trapped to a machine.
I decided to get the freestyle pump cause I'm always on the go and needed one with a battery to pump when I worked cause I worked on a farm and there's no where to plug into. Best decision I made even though my insurance didn't cover it all. Another awesome thing about the freestyle is the clip on the back of the pump! Just clip it to your pants and go about your duties while pumping!
After about a month of having your pump, only one side works and the other one does not have enough suction. I've tried changing the tubes to the other side but only one side works. It's frustrating when I want to pump on both sides but when the one pump does work, it is nice. Also, I never received my check for paying for it in cash in my insurance paid me back.
I had tried the Medela freestyle breast pump for a week. So I could have a portable pump when I went back to work. Everything was fine with the attachments except the motor is very weak to me. I had it on it's highest setting and I could hardly get anything. I'm a mom who has to pump only as my child doesn't like to take two direct nursing. My best advice is if you are only going to be exclusively pumping only do not buy the freestyle pump. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I ordered this pump because of its portability but I have not been satisfied with it. The parts are difficult to put together and it seems like if everything isn't lined up just right then it doesn't have enough suction to achieve a letdown. Sometimes I have to take the flanges apart a few times before it works, and moms spend enough time pumping without this hassle. I prefer my older pump, it's simple and the parts are fast to assemble, not to mention it was the basic double electric pump and much less expensive than this one.
I just started having to use this at work and I don't love it. I liked that its portable but it just doesn't seem very effective. One side sounds like it's leaking air and it just isn't that effective. I had been using the harmony hand pump and got a lot more out using that. My battery also dies pretty quickly so the portability really isn't that helpful. I would go with something else if I had the option.
DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP. It makes me want to give up and quit pumping every single time I use it. It's impossible to get adequate symmetrical suction on the first try. During every single pumping session I have to mess around with the valve connection on one if not both sides which is TERRIBLE because I wind up leaking milk all over. Sometimes I just give up and pump one side at a time because that's all I can get to work which is incredibly frustrating because it doubles the time I have to pump to empty both sides. I've tried to isolate if it's one piece that's not working but it's not, it's different every time. Simply put, do not buy.
I waited to buy an electric pump until I knew that i would be able to breastfeed, and used a manual pump before that. Once I knew that breastfeeding would be successful, I bought the medela Freestyle, as my Lactation consultant said that it was a very good pump. I haven't had it even 2 months, and it has lost its suction, and I even bought new accessories without success. Spending time fidgeting with the parts when I have so little spare time as a new mom, is infuriating. Regrettably, I did not keep the receipt, as pumps are not returnable. However, I will be sure to tell anyone who is looking at a breast pump to stay away from this useless, overpriced, waste of time.
Your clunky heavy pumps easily fall over and knock over and then leak everything out. How about you create something not so too heavy or that doesnt leak. We are in 2018 for Christ sake pumping for decades how about something more practical and not awful.
