The cages is easy to assemble, but it wasn't designed for rats or animals that can get bumble foot. Instead of having a usable bottom tray there is a shelf to set on top of the tray and rats are prone to getting bumble foot if not on a more solid ground. And the tray doesn't have a locking mechanism to keep it from sliding out. Rats can climb up the ramps and walls very well.
It's ok-ish. We use it for our rats and they don't like having their little paws on the wires. They also knock over the ramps and the levels when they are playing. I do like how they have more space to play without the cage itself taking up too much space. So I'm not getting rid of it right away, but I'll be saving up for something better as soon as I can. Oh I also had to put some zipties on the sides to keep it from bowing out. Don't ask me how, but some how their poop keeps ending up outside of the cage too.
its great, the bottom ramp is a little short but other than that its perfect. i plan on getting a couple pet rats and it only took 30 minutes to put together and fill with all the toys and hid outs
I bought two of these, one for my boy rats and one for my girl rats, and I love them! They're the perfect size for all of my little friends to explore and they're chew proof, which is definite plus for my chewers!
I like the cage , only reason I gave it less of a rating is because if your using it for smaller animals you should probably zip tie sides shut as they don't connect as well as they should
My two adult rats have plenty of room in this cage and the slide out tray makes cleaning their cage a breeze. I did use tiny black zip ties to secure the floor to the walls in about 8 places just to ensure they didn't try to drop down into the tray and get stuck and hurt themselves. Its an awesome buy. They didn't need the zip tied floor I did it for my own peace of mind!
One of my mice slipped right out the bottom. Definitely not for small rodents.
Arrived just as expected, seems like a solid frame to start building a suitable habitat from :)
This cage will not hold mice, like it states in the Description. All mice have escaped thru the bars.
the quality is terrible, the corners are not even ~ big gaps. the sides do not fit properly together. i would love to return this item.
