VERY stable cane and not too heavy considering its base. But the base is the problem. It's FAR TOO BIG!! And the online picture for this item, despite specifying "large base," DOES NOT reflect the true and enormous actual size of the base. Cane provides excellent support and is great if you have a lot of in-home space to negotiate it, but it is really too cumbersome and rather 'glaring' for public or outdoor use.

This cane is very stable due to the wide spread of the base. I feel very secure when I use this cane. I have a small bathroom, not a lot of space to get around or make turns. I put one hand on the vanity and use the cane with my other hand so I can turn around safely. As someone who had my leg amputated 9 months ago, I would definitely recommend this great cane for anyone who has a disability that requires stability and balance.

Buy this one!
I purchased this for my husband, and it is better than a regular cane. The pronged feet help him to keep his balance. They also keep the cane in an upright position so it is ready to use. No more leaning it against things and hoping it doesn't fall! It's strong and sturdy, and I would definitely recommend this product.

Sturdy
This is much sturdier than the foldable canes. The 4 feet make it easy to stand beside you with no need to find a chair to hang the cane upon.

Wobbly
The height of the cane is adjustable by pressing in a button and moving the cane to a new hole. The problem is that the joint becomes lose over time and the cane begins to wobble.

Wde base cane
Wide based cane is built sturdy but it wobbles when set on the floor. This is helped by adjusting the rubber tips on the 4 feet but I am concerned that pressure on the cane will push those tip on as far as they will go and the cane will be wobbly again.

Dangerous for seniors
Medline Aluminum Quad Cane with Large Base for Balance, Lightweight Walking Aid is a waste of money and dangerous. The cane is off center of the base which makes it unbalanced.
